Outstanding food, bartenders are very nice and friendly, always have a great time when I go here. Great drink selection as well, and for being mainly a bar the food is AMAZING, I personally recommend their buffalo chicken tenders with a side of ranch and an ice cold beer. They also have half of a wall dedicated to different hot sauces. Also have a digital jukebox like most bars have with a vast selection (anything from the oldies all the way up to the newest of songs). And EVERY Thursday night is Trivia night where you can win a round for free!

Nicole and Ben were amazing while they served our family. They were kind and friendly to our young boys. The fish fry on Friday's are out of this world!

If you like to drink, this is a happening place in the evening! They pour a generous drink and sometimes "give the bar away."

It's too bad they don't still have the amazing advertising signs that so mesmerized many a child while inside. The one I remember most was a Hamm's beer sign (think it was Hamm's) - it was backlit and featured "moving water." This was pretty hi-tech for the late 1970s and '80s! They had another sign that had a slowly-scrolling image of a waterfall? I recall trying to "catch" the image as it changed but never really saw it unless Iooked away for several seconds ... fascinating to a kid!

Nostalgia aside, I'm sad to report that the Fish Fry has gone to Davy Jones' Locker. I haven't lived in the area for years but I've visited and given Eddie's two more chances ... both times I left sadly disappointed. The coating is different (and burnt, both times) ... gone from puffy and moist to grainy and dry. While I understand portion sizes may get smaller over time, I would hope that the quality would either stay the same or improve? The perch is now fishy ... bad fishy. If a woman smelled as bad as this fish tasted, her gynecologist would put her on antibiotics.

Also, the delicious tartar sauce and savory cole slaw have sunk in taste as well. I remember just slapping on huge spoonfuls of the tartar goop when I was younger - our waitress was constantly bringing more! I'm fairly certain that THAT amazing stuff couldn't improve the fish they're serving today. :(

I love Eddie'a as an iconic Arlington Heights restaurant! I personally have so many fond memories there, both involving food and the crazy locals. If you want to drink, head on in! If you want to rekindle your love for the Friday Fish Fry, try traveling north into Wisconsin? I'm really sad to leave such a bad review about a place so dear to my heart.

P.S. Bring back the bread basket with the banana bread and mini-muffins and the endless supply of the little butter squares packaged on cardboard! I loved that you could almost eat dessert before your meal. Yummy!!!

Been going here for many years now, back to the time when Eddie and Bonnie owned the place. New owners have maintained many of the food traditions including their fantastic Wednesday and Friday fish fry. Fresh ocean perch breaded very very lightly and fried to perfection. This is an "all you can eat" offering. The price is reasonable considering the "all you can eat" aspect. Other items such as the pulled pork and burgers are very good. Good selection of liquors and beers. Atmosphere is traditional tavern/restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone. They have other "all you can eat" specials such as fried chicken. Nice people. Sometimes the TV's are up a little loud but you can always ask to lower them. Can't do wrong here.

Cheap drinks and surprisingly good burgers for a reasonable price.
