Lumpy beds, noisy, cheaply appointed, weak coffee, crummy breakfast and it cost us over a $100 bucks to stay there. Drive on to the next place.
Service sucked. Creepy night desk guy kept asking inappropriate and unnecessary questions bordering on prejudice. Room was fine. Won't be going back.
Booking was a mistake. The rooms looked very nice online. Upon arriving we found cockroaches in our room. We immediately left. There were no managers at the hotel that night to do refunds. The next day I called the hotel, spoke with the manager, and he informed me it was "against hotel policy to give out refunds." Needless to say the hotel wasn't work $65 for 5 minutes. But if you like bugs it is the place to stay!
I been traveling for 15 years now and this is by far the nicest Econo Lodge I have ever stayed in! Very clean and updated rooms, beds are super comfy and staff was super friendly, and the location is super quiet and makes it easy to relax! I thank you!
Better than other 1 star hotels I have stayed in.
I live in northern Maine but my family is here in MA. I visit here often. First time at Econolodge. This place is wonderful. Large rooms, very clean and comfortable. Will definetly stay her again.
This hotel is a decent place for the price. It is nicely updated and it was pretty clean. The hard floors were a nice touch but would be nicer if they were vacuumed... Our room had gritty floors. The bathtub drain doesn't have a stopper to take a bath so the only option is a shower which is no fun for small kids. The bed was comfy and so were the pillows.
Having stayed in many Econo Lodges, I have to say that this is one of the nicest ones! It appears to have undergone recent renovations and was clean and spacious. The property is very nice with a farmhouse up front where the office is and the standard two story lodging building behind it and parking on both sides. With a great BBQ restaurant walking distance down the hill at the end of the driveway and just a school behind the hotel, it was quiet.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Bed comfort wasn't the best but for the price, I wasn't expecting top quality and it was far from being bad.
We'll definitely stay here again when visiting Sturbridge in the future.
A place that's undoubtedly seen better days--much better, and a long time ago. Odd odor permeating the rather small room. Kind of dark, old, unwelcoming. Not doing the Econo Lodge brand any favors.
Wonderful place to stay. Clean rooms, large parking lot. Light continental breakfast. Caring staff. Beautiful location on Route 20.
Rooms have been updated, nice economical place to stay, nothing fancy , have stayed there 3 yrs in a row and noticed it was much nice than in the past
Lovely location. Good and clean for the price. The covers were a bit on the thin side and offered marginal protection from the AC if you run it overnight. Overall, I would go again but pack an extra blanket.
It's a lot more impressive driving up the hill along the fence, but a little dated looking once you get to the top! Room was sufficient & clean, good price for a couple of nights. Room had a musty smell.
Excellent stopping point location. Economy lodging with excellent service.
Room was spotless. The front desk people were very friendly, courteous and responsive. And the other guests were quiet.
I just spent the night in the econolodge in Sturbridge and it would have been a nice stay had it not been that the air conditioning unit didn't work properly. It was a hot humid night. I liked the hotel and the breakfast and how it was a life saver. However I couldn't sleep because of the heat.
Room was clean, bathroom too. Rooms were modern, well appointed. A pretty good deal during the busy summer season. Just staying the night, but overall a good experience! FYI, rooms aren't kept air conditioned when not occupied. Be prepared to wait a good while til room gets cooled from AC unit. ;-p
Very easy to get too. The location was quiet and the front staff was very friendly.
