Lake sits below White Horse Ledge with Cathedral Ledge immediately to the right. Frequently see climbers making their way up the rock face. Sandy beach entrance to water. Trail network circles the lake along with paths up to ledges for a short ( ~2mile round trip ) hike. Numerous charcoal grills available for use. Avoid holiday weekends if possible as it can become very crowded.

Absolutely stunning spot for a picnic, after hiking to nearby Cathedral Ledge. Beautiful views of the nearby cliffs. Lots of picnic tables and charcoal grills - there was enough dry wood nearby to heat our pre-cooked hotdogs. Sandy beach - great for kids to play and splash!

Nice park. We have walked around the lake each time we have been here. Stop here every year on our vacation.

Great hike in the summer or winter. The winter it is very quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view. The summer you can find families with packed lunches enjoying the warm lake water.

My family visited for the first time this past weekend. We did a little hike and then spent the afternoon at the lake. It was beautiful. Clean and peaceful. My two boys had a blast swimming and finding tadpoles. The only reason I didn't give it a fifth star is because they don't have food vendors. We visit from out of state and can't easily pack lunch. All in all, we enjoyed the park and will return again next time we are in NH.

Nice trails and beach. The climb to Cathedral Ledge and White Horse ledge was a lot of fun, though much steeper than we realized when we first started off. Taking the trail from the white horse trail head is a longer walk, but much less steep. We ended up taking the steep route up cathedral then went the steep route to white house and then took the easy route down.

The scenery here is beautiful. Gorgeous views of White Horse Ledge and Cathedral Ledge. There are lifeguards on duty, so feel safe swimming in the lake. There are nice walking trails in the area. It is an easy 1 mile around the lake and there is a mid level trail that heads up to the top of Cathedral Ledge. Overall, this is a great area to spend some time with the family on vacation.

Family friendly beach with an amazing backdrop. Swim in the warm water; relax on the sandy beach; watch climbers scurry up Cathedral Ledge; take advantage of picnic tables; walk the trail around the lake; or, do them all! It's a pack in/pack out place with no concessions, so plan accordingly
