The beds were great, the rooms super clean and light. Gitchee Gumee is right outside your window. The restaurant is quite fine. You can see sunrise and sunset from the same room! Reasonable rates. I loved it. Open all year! I want to go back in the winter.

Terrific little hotel, right on Lake Superior. The rooms were recently updated and were very clean and comfortable. The rooms have a small fridge and TV, as well as free wifi. Also, each room has a lake view. There is a terrific free continental breakfast in the mornings, which is is the Fitzgerald's dining room. I would definitely recommend this place to stay if you are staying in this area.

A few things to know before staying: You may not have cell service - I have AT&T and did not have service here. There also isn't much to do in Eagle River, so bring something to do in the evenings.

Fantastic restaurant with exceptional whisky selection and probably the best BBQ in the North. The hotel is very nice with a gorgeous view of Lake Superior.

Can you get any closer to the water? Probably not, unless you want to sleep right in Lake Superior! Perfect rustic get away❤️

Great room, reserved upper floor, corner room. Weather was great (50°F) to leave corner windows open all night and listen to the waves. Room was incredibly clean and nice, bathroom was also very clean. King bed and bedding was very comfortable, and plenty warm enough. Had small fridge, coffee, table/chairs, etc. Breakfast choices were a little slim, but had the basics of bagels, pastry/bread, yogurt, fruit, coffee and tea. Check in/out went great. Restaurant below was also great, overall perfect accommodations on this night of our trip.

The staff was helpful, inviting and friendly, the rooms were clean and cozy, the location was perfect; directly on Lake Superior with lake view from the rooms so you fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The restaurant, Fitzgerald's has barbeque to die for and a brew and liquor list that never ends along with 180 degree views of Lake Superior to adore as you eat. I've never been to a "place to sleep for the night" that I didn't want to leave the next morning because it offered everything I would want to stay: great views, service, food, beer and a place to lay my head. I will be returning to enjoy again. Thank you for the magic you create for your guests.
