    Students celebrated all their MCAP hard work on Friday with a great celebration. Between the inflatable obstacle course, the dunking booking, Minute-to-Win-It games, and Kona Ice, the students were busy!! Thank you for working so hard ERH!

    It's that time! The Scholastic BOGO fair starts Tuesday, May 31st! ELA teachers will bring their classes over to visit the fair and make purchases. Besides cash, we accept credit cards and checks made payable to ERH.

    This is the perfect time to stock up on summer reading!

    ERH is now accepting iCoverage payments for the 2019-2020 school year. At this time, we are accepting cash or check payments. Checks made payable to ERH. Amount is $15.

    Online payments will begin on July 1st using the MySchoolBucks website.

    If you are interested in crossing one more thing off your to-do list... go ahead and send it in! Please make sure your child's name is on the envelope or memo section of the check.

    Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) will kick off its summer learning programs with LitFest 2019 on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Center for Education Services, 10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown.

    The event is free and open to everyone.

    This year’s theme is, “A Galaxy of Learning,” and attendees will have the opportunity to participate in activities and experiences with a space theme.

    Several authors will attend and there will be coding, robotics and reading activities.

    Prizes and giveaways will be available throughout the event.

    Partnering organizations include the Washington County Free Library and Bookmobile, Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Books for Babies, United Way of Washington County, OnTrack Washington County, the Hagerstown YMCA and Frostburg University. Many departments within WCPS will also be represented, both instructional and non-instructional, along with the WCPS Education Foundation.

    Students attending will be given a LitFest Passport upon arrival, which can be stamped at each booth the student visits. The stamped passports make the students eligible to win prizes.

    In the event of rain, LitFest will be rescheduled on Monday, June 10. If rescheduling is necessary, updated information will be posted on the WCPS website (www.wcpsmd.com), Facebook page (www.facebook.com/wcpsmd) and on Twitter (@wcpsmd).

    NHD Congrats to Erin Downey! The social studies department is excited to share that Erin Downey won a Special Prize at the Maryland History Day State Event last weekend.

    This photo features Erin Downey and Natalie Loukianoff of Maryland Historical Trust. Erin won a Special Prize for Historic Preservation, Junior Division, for her project on Clara Barton's Lost Soldiers Office. Maryland History Day is a program of Maryland Humanities.

    Students are asked to arrive at 6:40 p.m.. The concert will be over around 8:00 p.m.

    This is a graded performance. If your child cannot make it, please let Ms. Warner know if advance so she can assign the alternative assignment.
