If you are in Goshen, stop by and buy donuts, pastries, and or lunch at this place.. not only are they delicious, but The owner is a good human being. Our truck would not start and the owner gave us a jump, and when that wouldn't work he took us to the AutoZone to buy a new battery. He would not even take any money for all the help he provided. There are still good people in the world.

Brides, get your wedding cake somewhere else.
If you are an out of town bride don't even bother with this bakery. I had to call three times before I got a hold of the decorator Ashley. I asked about setting up a tasting appointment. They don't offer a free tasting of cake instead you have to buy their cupcakes. Then when I told her that a particular Friday and Saturday (more than a month in advance) would work for me to discuss cakes, she told me she had a bachelorrette party to do but couldn't remember the exact day. Then proceeded to tell me that earlier in the week is better for her. Excuse me. I'm the bride. I'm going to spend hundreds on cake for my wedding and if you can't make time for me in your busy schedule I will take my money elsewhere. Zero out of ten. This place doesn't do weddings.
UPDATE: They emailed me a response. While their explanations were appreciated that doesn't change the fact that other bakeries are better for weddings and offer free tastings.They appeared to be unwilling to work with scheduling. Also, I don't appreciate being told that I should not have posted this review. This is my opinion. I have a right to it just as they have a right to disagree. They seem like a good bakery for everyday needs. Just not weddings.
(Wedding is in fact in Goshen. Email was sent using work computer and CT is always default location. I didn't bother to change it because it didn't matter)response / report this review -

The pastries were beautiful. This bakery is certainly blessed with talented bake staff. The sugar cookies are too dry, but beautifully decorated. The low rating is due to it being my first ever visit to this bakery, and having endured absolutely terrible customer service. I won't be back, and I won't recommend this bakery to anyone.

EVERY, and I mean every, time that we are in Goshen we stop by for several dozen of their standard sugar cookies. They are amazing and I have been eating them since I was a little boy growing up there. Now, it is my children's turn. Nothin' wrong with the classic Bert & Ernie or the seasonal round sugar cookie; ya just can't go wrong!

Quick friendly service. Better than DD (similar cost) with an atmosphere like Panera only not as expensive. Love the log furniture.

I took in a picture that I liked so they could replicate on my son's birthday cake, they did AWESOME. Not a transfer like the big box stores, it was drawn with icing and looked fabulous. And the cake was delicious too.

I did a Gender Revel at Dutch Maid Bakery. I live out of town and did everything over the phone and email. The order included Cake, Cupcakes and Cookies, which all was correct and very good. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. It was a great experience. Thanks to Dutch Maid Bakery.
