We stayed at the DoubleTree for 4 days the week before Halloween. The first day the shower was slow draining. I called the front desk to report the issue and someone was at our door within minutes. He fixed the issue quickly.

We use a lot of cream for our coffee. We called the front desk for more cream and within minutes a front desk attendant was at our door with more than enough cream.

A special thank you to Rosie!! She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Our room was spotless! Once Rosie was made aware we liked cream, she made sure we had extra everyday. We had the pleasure of getting to chat with Rosie. Not only does she do an awesome job, she has a great playful personality and had us laughing.

Rosie and all the staff was amazing!! The hotel is in the perfect location as well. We will be back and will be staying at the DoubleTree.

    Thank you Charleston DoubleTree staff!

Hotel in the center of Charleston, within walking distance of all interesting spots in the city. The Hotel itself is in dire need of refurbishment of pretty much everything. The booking said „breakfast included“, however once we passed the „breakfast application“ procedure, we were told that what is included is only coffee and fruits, any real breakfast will cost extra... so an absolute no go. similar to the application procedure where it seems you have to give them your social security number to be allowed into the apparenty holy breakfast area that is surrounded by a little fence. So we ended up going to Starbucks for our Breakfast, at least there you get what you paid for.
In summary I cannot recommend to stay there, especially since the amount of money they charge would let you expect to get a perfect service in every single way.

Centrally located next to open air market and Charleston activities. The staff went out of their way to help get my room available and accommodate my inability to walk long distances. Room was wonderful. Just GREAT customer service!!!!!

Great location in historic area. Walk to many tourist destinations and great restaurant options. Clean, well-appointed, recently remodeled rooms. Very nice breakfast space.

The hotel is located in nice area close to attractions. I don't like that the check-in time is 4p. I arrived around 12:30p and they had no room ready for me. I think I'm actually going to wait until 4p and it's not fair especially when they don't have a business lounge for guests to wait. There are people everywhere hanging around the lobby and outside waiting for rooms. I came for business and the atmosphere is more for people on vacation or who aren't tired from a long trip so they can afford to wait. Although the staff is nice it seems they are highly unorganized. I wouldn't play over $300 for a room here.

Great place to stay. The location was perfect for getting to the downtown bars and restaurants. Additionally, there are a lot of coffee shops nearby. The room I stayed in was two levels and very cozy. Very clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was helpful and gave us great advice to make the most of our trip. The courtyard was great to eat breakfast in.

This hotel is a great place to stay in Charleston. It's pretty much right in the middle of everything. The Markets are right across the street, there are restaurants and little shops everywhere. The hotel itself is clean and has a cool older style look. Service is great, all of the employees are nice and helpful.

This hotel is in a great location. There are tons of shops and restaurants nearby. That being said, my room is near one of those and I get to hear loud music being throughout the night. The room itself is quite large and fairly nice. The bathroom is ok but the lighting at the sink is very poor. Good luck trying to see what your doing if you're shaving or something. The bed is comfortable enough but the pillows are very soft. All of the staff have been great and have given good recommendations for local food.

A very comfortable hotel. The front desk and the bellmen/valet parking are very courteous and professional. The Double Tree Hotel has a great location to be able to walk the downtown area. You are walking distance to several of the best restaurants in the Charleston area. We will definitely stay here again. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel. They will becoming next year during a major remodeling.

We stayed in a bi level junior suite, with the beds upstairs, it was great. Spacious. Clean. Easy self parking next door in a deck if you don't want to valet. Walking surface to many shops and restaurants. Impressive lobby

We had a great time at this hotel! Upon checking in, we had a bit of a snafu with our room, but the concierge was incredibly helpful in getting everything sorted out. The parking is only by valet, and the valets were friendly and efficient. And what a great location! Super close to the night market and tons of restaurants.

Most awesome hotel ever right in downtown Charleston. Every room is a suite. We were govern a one story suite with 2 bathrooms, kitchenette, living room and separate bedroom. The rooms were extremely clean and the staff wonderful and always helpful. Others with us are given 2 story suites and they were not as nice and much smaller than our suite. This hotel is also right downtown within walking distance of anything you could want to do. Loved our visit here.

Attended a formal business dinner. The property is beautiful and very conveniently located in downtown Charleston. The food provided for dinner tasted very good, and filled probably 245 seat places very quickly. The drinks were, unfortunately, way overpriced. My pregnant wife had to pay $5.50 for a soda water mixed with dole pineapple juice. I then paid $6 for a *Coors light*. Considering each place paid about $40 for the venue, I feel the drinks should been less expensive. Everything else about the event was great.
