Great drinks and friendly staff. Guacamole was good. Cheese enchiladas a step above typical. Staff was great. A great place to relax and have some fun drinks and good mexican!!!
Came for happy hour. Prices and selection of drinks weren't great. Food looked fine but we didn't order any. Service was very good and quick!
Fresh ingredients and a unique (but not over the top weird) menu. In a great location a few blocks off the High Line path. I had the shrimp quesadilla which was very fresh and flavorful.
The food is very good but extremely overpriced for what it is. $27 for guac? Are you kidding? Definitely a fun environment. Not too loud, good for catching up with friends.
Great place for good quality Mexican fare. This large restaurant always has a crowd. The food is delicious and customer service is great. Awesome selection of margaritas. The bar and basement lounge are great areas for drinking; the lounge is especially good for groups. The restaurant has eating indoors and outdoors on the first level and seating on the second floor.
We came on a Saturday night when our reservation for somewhere else fell through and I am so glad it did! The hostess was friendly & seated us promptly at a great table on the patio. It was a great atmosphere for people watching, but we could still have a conversation. Our server was so friendly & we never felt rushed. THE FOOD & DRINK WAS DELICIOUS! We got a pitcher of white wine sangria and some sharable plates. I cannot wait to go back!
I have absolutely no idea why this place has a 3.8, I've eaten here a half dozen times for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Absolutely delicious food. If you're looking for traditional, heavy Mexican food, this is definitely not for you. It's good, higher end Mexican cuisine and if you don't appreciate quality food, don't come here.
Good upscale Mexican. Nice outdoor seating. Pricing reflects the venue. $25 for a large guacamole, for instance, stings a little for what must be 4 avocados, a tomato, a little cilantro, chili and some seasoning. Food order also came without the requested changes (no tomatoes).
I had a nice time here for my friend's birthday. But it's honestly just glorified Mexican food. It's way too expensive for what you get; I think the location is what attracts business. The guacamole is very good.
Wonderful meal at Scarpetta! I sat at the bar where the service was absolutely fantastic- friendly, attentive, and I got great recommendations. The mushroom tagliatelle was delicious as was everything else that walked by me. I'll define back!
I loved this restaurant! It's unique shape (triangular to match the building and street shape) add to it's ambiance. It's busy, and loud,, and fun. The portions are not huge, but I prefer them that way. And the drinks are excellent. I'd definitely go here again if I was shopping near Chelsea Market (I know that sounds odd, but I liked that we could sit at Dos Caminos).
This review is based on an overnight work trip to New York where I stayed at the G.
Food was warm, not hot. Soup was bland and the steak tacos were OK. Hand made tortillas in house are nice but get soggy and fall apart.
My bartender was great. Very attentive. Made my experience 4 stars instead of 3.
Better than room service though!
