Ask for your server to be MASON. Great server! Excellent pizza and a variety of beers.

I have eaten here before, and despite the poor service I received last time the pizza is so good that I picked up my mother and drove an hour and a half to have it for dinner. Even though I checked their website to ensure it would be open until nine, when we arrived shortly after eight we were informed that they only serve a limited menu for the last hour that they are open. Nowhere on their website or menu does it say anything about this. Beware if you think about eating here after eight!
Edit: service has improved tremendously, and they now have the full menu until they close! Changing my rating to 5 stars to reflect how awesome their food is.response / report this review -

Delicious food. Good music. Good down home type bar. Outdoor seating. Service can be sketchy so just don't be in a rush

My boyfriend and I dined here during a Friday night jamboree and was pleasantly surprised! Neither of us are very familiar with the area but fell in love it Floyd, and this was the icing on the cake! The food is phenomenal! I had a great cocktail, too! I love the atmosphere. The live music is a nice touch, too. Never did I think of apple butter on pizza but it's soooo good!

Had a big event here (30 guests) which was planned for months. We ordered a salad and pizza buffet. The salad came out fine but the pizzas took forever to come out, leaving half with food and the other half waiting over 20 minutes to get a slice of pizza multiple times. I was told drinks would be included with the original total cost and then was charged. They apologized and said they would refund the cost, but I never received the refund. Its sad because what I ate of the food wasn't bad, but the service wasn't the best.

What a find!!! Live music, good beers and pizza that would blow you away in the middle of the mountains. Better than any mainstream restaurant. Loved it!

Stopped for the first time today. Learned the were only serving pizza, which was fine by our group. At 12:30 the place was fairly empty. Pizza was really good. Fresh dough, hand grated cheese! Nice wood fired oven. Reminded me of Brixx. Service was good too. Several craft beers on tap, apparently subject to limited availability. Confused if they only serve pizza (no apps, salad) or offer a full menu other times. I would give them another try, but stop short of recommending to others. After reading other reviews and based on my experience, I suspect menu selection, service and hours may vary.

Just ate at Dogtown and the pizza was awesome. I highly recommend the Appalachian Pizza. The service was great, and I can not wait to come back.

We tried several pizzas. They were all good, but everybody loved the Appalachian. We thought it would be a sweet, dessert style pizza, but it was actually a super good savory pizza. They have some good beers also.
