Quick and easy. Nothing negative to say about dick smith ford. Very nice place IL be coming back time and time again.
Awesome team there at Dick Smith Ford!! It’s been a pleasure each time working with Emmanuel (Manny). I highly recommend him as your next salespersonyou won’t be disappointed!!
Let's start by saying I feel and it appears as though this particular dealership has one manager "Rick" who will take advantage of what the customer allows him to. This manager will tell you the service needed is not covered under your warranty, not $100 or $1000 but over $3000 of "not covered warranty work". "Rick" will say he is double checking and that he will call you back; he does not. When you call Ford and they say that the needed service is covered and you confront "Rick" you are told, "I don't know what they did after you talked to them but it was not covered when I checked". Getting a rental (which is covered under Ford warranty) is difficult, you will be told they are trying to complete it that day. You have to go to the dealership and demand your rental and expect your car to be done in 36 to 48hrs from the time you demand/receive your rental. When asked how much things are going to cost (had an oil change and fuel filter change which is standard maintenance), the price was changed 3 times due to "parts fault" and not his. If you do not verify everything, I mean everything "Rick" advises you on, you will spend thousands of dollars on service covered under your warranty. One question I can not help but think is, are they charging you and the warranty company for the same work? Bottom Line Up Front, either they are not competent or they are trying to take advantage of their customers. Beware and know that although it is close to Fort Jackson the convenience is not worth getting taken advantage of. I do intend on contacting the dealership owner and if I receive the same treatment and explanation as I did from the lane manager/my service advisor "Rick" I will contact Ford and ensure Fort Jackson personnel are made aware of my experience with this particular dealership.
Came to Dick Smith with a trade (2016 Jeep), which we were way upside down in. I had been wanting a 2017 Fiesta ST for awhile. We were greeted out on the lot by David Macnemee (sorry for the spelling). Went inside and talked with David for awhile, expressing our concerns of pulling credit for no reason. He reassured us that it would just be a soft pull and if he didn't think the score was strong enough he wouldn't send it off. Score was higher than we though and was only sent to 2 banks, we a 2% better rate than we had on the Jeep and were in and out in 2 hours total. Awesome experience and David was exceptional. Will be back.
I called to get an estimate on an EGR cooler that failed and repair the heads as well as clear out the water from the cylinders and water from the oil & get the truck out of being hydrolocked.
The service department bluntly said I just need to replace the motor.
I obviously know what I'm talking about and can do the repairs myself if I had a lift, but I don't and the vehicle broke down out of my state.
Buying a motor means I'd just buy another truck. The guy didn't even consider the repairs.
I just hung up. I'll just try somewhere else.
Came in to check out F150's. Was kindly greeted by Matthew Koch. He showed me the trucks I was interested in and pointed out all the specs and features about the truck. Felt like I was buying from a close family member. He was extremely knowledgeable about competitive brands and able to point out why the F150 was the best. Negotiating a price was simple and quick. Probably got one of the best deals around. If you come here talk to Matthew Koch and he'll take care of you.
I would never in my life come back to this racist place again! Definitely wouldn't recommend the bald white guy in the back. On both occasions of arriving at Ford for a oil change I was not acknowledged let alone looked at by this racist . Thankfully Errin the service rep 2 rows over who saw me sitting came over to assist me. FORD SHOULD DO BETTER A SIMPLE HEY ONE SEC SOMEONE WOULD BE WITH YOU WOULD OF BEEN NICE. I arrived before 8Am it was not busy! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO A DOG!
Just want to write about my experience. This summer traveling to the beach the check engine light came on in my new Ford vehicle. Drove to Classic Ford and approached Dean Ray about checking it out. There are four guys standing behind computers and not another customer in sight. He explained they just "had too much to do" and could not provide any help. I explained I just need to know that nothing serious is wrong and ask for the service manager. Dean walks into the service bay and makes a phone call then allows me to see Andy Wilson the service manager while he stands behind me the whole time. Andy Wilson gives me the same "we are just too busy" while I am standing in his office looking at at these three guys (Dean is standing behind me) sitting behind computers. So I have to drive to Dick Smith Ford and explained my situation to Rick Wheeler a service lane supervisor. He immediately left his computer and came back with a code reader. Plugged into my vehicle and explain he was getting "several misfires" as the reason for the light. Explained it could be bad gas, gas cap not on tight, or could me much more serious and asked if I would like the light turned off. He turned off the light, I drove to a nearby gas station filled the tank and have not seen the light since and have driven many miles since. IMHO Classic Ford does not do customer service well and Dick Smith Ford is where you should do business.
Sales staff are AWESOME. Traded my car in for a Ford Focus a little over a month ago and the salesman I dealt with (Ralph) was top notch. Got in and out of there in a couple of hours. The lady at the reception desk was nice. . HOWEVER, the Maintenance Department needs an overhaul. Started having issues with the car a couple of weeks after getting it. The guy over maintenance asked me to bring it in in a couple of weeks because they were booked up solid. Scheduled me to come in on the 25th. I called on the 24th to find out if we were on, and he told me he had no record scheduled with my name for that date and he did not remember talking to me about the issues. He told me he was still booked up and could not get to it, but promised he'd take a look at it on the 31st if I could wait until then Wife dropped me off at work and took the car there for them to check it out. she was told almost word for word the same thing I was told the week before. No appointment on that date with my name and he was way to busy to pencil me in that day. Wife went off on him and told him the car needed to be checked TODAY. He did get to it and then told us about the transmission issues Ford was having with Focus' and gave us some information to call and have Ford deal with it. I called Ford Customer Care today and they asked me why the dealership didn't fix the problem since it was still under a new car warranty ? She asked me to take it back to them and get them to repair or replace any items they find wrong as it was under warranty. I asked her if I could take it to another Ford Dealership to have it done and she said yes. I have made an appointment two days from now to take the car in and have it checked and fixed. I got an email confirmation of the appointment within 5 minutes of talking to the dealership. This is how Customer Service is supposed to work.
Dick Smith . .don't change a thing with your sales staff, and your front office people (first class there), but you might want to rethink your maintenance dept. there.. Needs fixing.
Instead of honoring the definition of an "Appointment" I waited 6 hours for no work to be accomplished and I was forced to leave due to priorities planned around my "Appointment"
My car was driven around and had grease on the interior from an employee. Also, my rear driver side tire was curb rashed. This dealerships service department does not have a handle on professionalism, an idea of what an appointment is, or a clue.
2 weeks ago went for oil change. Mentioned a couple of issues and was told I had to have an appointment. Made appointment for today at 9am. 3.5 hours later, they hadn't even looked at my vehicle yet. In fact, at first they couldn't find it. Talked to service manager but he didn't care. Took my vehicle and left without anything being done. I will not return to Dick Smith Ford.
These guys were great at finding what I needed. Even though I ultimately did not purchase a vehicle from them, it was because I decided on a different brand. I would still recommend them to anyone looking for a Ford.
Drove 50 min's to get my oil changed here dropped off my car and was told it would be done within 30-60 mins. Proceed to wait for over an hour just find out my car hasn't been worked on yet and they won't have enough time to get to it today. If they weren't sure my car wouldn't be able to be worked on they could have told me so from the get go, they just wasted my time here.
David McNamee and the team at Dick Smith Ford were great to me and my family. I would highly recommend them when looking for a new car.
