Most people don’t have enough room for their wisdom teeth to come in properly, which can cause problems for the rest of the mouth. Also called “third molars” - wisdom teeth can cause pain and pressure, can erupt perpendicularly into the adjacent teeth (2nd molars) and can cause gum problems if they partially erupt and create food pockets. • The best time to get wisdom teeth removed is before the roots are fully formed (teeth grow from crown to root) - so the surgery is easier... and recovery is faster. Summer break is a common time for many people because life is easy and the patient has time to recover in a low-stress environment. • We are lucky to have anesthesia-certified dentist, Dr. Heath Snell in our office to perform wisdom teeth removal. You know those pesky impressions we always ask for? This is what we do with them - these are stone molds from those impressions and they are used to make copies of your teeth. This patient came in very unhappy with her chipped teeth and had long dreamed of having a smile makeover. Our goal was to enhance her smile while also addressing areas of decay and some older fillings and crowns that were failing. Dr. Pardazi was able to achieve these results with 8 porcelain crowns. The space on the upper left side (tooth no. 13) will be filled with an implant crown in the next few weeks. This patient was so happy with the results that she is now wanting to ...have her lower arch (bottom teeth) done as well.
