This place is a nice half way point for my brother, his family & mine to meet up from where we each reside. We've enjoyed each meal with each of our trips over the span of a couple years, but not the atmosphere on the most recent occasions, especially tonight.
Our waitress was disinterested in assisting us. She forgot our fries, (*which wasnt a surprise, because she was starting to walk away as we were still ordering with only a nod, didn't even write it all down..) brought a side with cheese when we asked for a basket with ranch. We had to wait a lengthly time for refills on our drinks & catch her attention to get them. We had our side of fries included on my brothers bill, and while waiting to have it fixed, overheard several customers complaining about her as well.
If customer service was better, I'd give a better review. The food is really good, but the customer service is lacking terribly lately. Our trips may become fewer and farther in between because of it.
First time since I went with my dad as a kid. Straight in the nostalgia. Sadly, my memories were better than my experience. Nothing "wrong". Just nothing out of the ordinary. Not impressed by the burger soup. Solid burger though. Service was good considering I brought kiddos. Kinda tight seating for a bigger fella in the restaurant.
Great burger. Will definitely come back. If the menu is overwhelming, just go with the build your own burger. Stopped for lunch, not too crowded, quick service. Our friends at PennDOT recommended this place. Their recommendation was spot on!
This place is always busy and everyone raves about how amazing their food is. So I decided it was time to find out what all the hype was about. Service was great and the prices were reasonable. Wings came out quick This was the last bit of good news. Wings were way undercooked and basically rubber with no flavor. Burgers are dry as hockey pucks. Will never come again.
After having heard so much about this place, I decided to stop by with my son while we were in the area for a school related activity. Overall, my experience was ok but I can't say that the place lived up to my expectations based on everything I had heard about it. We ordered two burgers and wings. The wings were good, but a little pricey for what they were. They were your average wing and a little overcooked, but the sauce made them worth it. The burgers were good overall but the chips were way too salty. While the food was good, it took too long to get our meal. We waited 45 minutes for 2 burgers. The table of four next to us had their burgers 10 minutes after they ordered, so I don't know why ours was delayed so much. The waitress was great and did take 10% off of the bill, but the food wasn't so overwhelmingly awesome as to make the wait worth it. I would possibly go again if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.
10 minute wait. Not a big deal. They have many many Burger options and that was the problem because how their burger is listed on the menu is the only way you can get it, absolutely no additions or deletions. Tomato and lettuce is a deal-breaker for me I have to have it on a burger and not many of their choices have either one of them and the ones that do have something funky like barbecue sauce on it, also a deal breaker as I must have Mayo. I settled on the Clearfield County Burger which had grilled onions, mushrooms and tomato but no lettuce. Next problem Burgers only come with chips but really not that big of a deal as they had an appetizer of onion rings for only $4.99 so I ordered the burger and the appetizer and then she brought it to me but it had no chips. I'm assuming that she figured I'm substituting the onion rings for the chips but according to their own policy there is absolutely no substitutions or deletions, so where were my chips? I never said no potato chips and since I was too terrified to ask for no barbecue sauce on the burger that I actually wanted I wouldn't think that I would have had to say I want my chips. It took her about 5 minutes to get over and ask me if everything was okay but by that time I was halfway done and said screw it. Quality of food was excellent. Burger was cooked exactly how I asked for it onion rings were very good.
We love Denny's! They are family friendly and have the best food! It has a laud back atmosphere. One of the best places to eat in Clearfield. Totally worth the visit. We would recommend to anyone.
First time visit today, was excellent. Of course I got a burger not a record breaker or anything but was absolutely one of the best burgers I ever had. Prices were fair, food was higher quality and service was good. The building itself is really nice and clean. Very very good place and would highly recommend!
After a several year hiatus, we stopped back in to check out the remodel, and we were pleasantly surprised at the changes. While the atmosphere of the original is somewhat gone, is much more inviting and more modern. The food improved significantly compared to our previous visits as well It was never "bad", but for a while it seemed to hover at mediocre. I am happy to say that this is no longer the case; our food was outstanding, and the service was fantastic too.
This is a unique place that is family friendly while still being enjoyable to individuals and groups. It has a diverse menu covering everything from typical bar foods to dinner entrees. It also has a full service bar with an excellent drink selection.
Love the wings here; they are incomparable! The saucy wings especially (their dry rub is too salty for me). Great beer selection. I'm a repeat customer. My server on my latest visit, Jennifer, was fabulous. She handled our just-before-kitchen-closed order from rather weird and loud table of 5 with aplomb, good humor, and good service.
Love this place! They have lots of choices in draft beer (almost 40, I believe). In addition to an extensive menu, they also feature some unique seasonal specials.
They have really put some money into this place. The remodel really helped with the atmosphere. The food is still great. I always get a big burger just to see how much of it I can eat. The service has gotten much better. Always one of my favorite places to hit up when I'm in Clearfield.
Food was pretty good. This place is famous for their large burgers which in my opinion aren't that good. Don't get me wrong, the smaller ones are good but when you try the challenge ones, I think they bake them in the oven and there's not much flavor. Other than that, everything was good and the service was awesome.
Had a happy experience eating here. Lots of interesting burgers and draft beers to choose from. I had a very spicy burger, right up my alley. We also had mozzarella sticks, cheese curds, and curly fries, and all were tasty. Very busy on a Saturday night, but we ate at the bar and were seated right away.
I love this bar!! The food is really awesome and inexpensive, and an excellent selection of craft beers. You can get dinner, beers, and a good tip for around $30. I love when I get to work at Shawville power plant and come here after work!
All of the girls that work here are really friendly and great servers. I always feel welcome and happy to go here. Emily and Brooklyn are always super nice to me and I love being able to talk to them.
Possibly my favorite bar, great prices, and great food. The burger challenges are fun to watch too!
Thanks to everyone at Denny's for consistently great food, beer, and great fun.
