We came here to celebrate our anniversary. I tried the short ribs and they tasted very good and authentic. The service was a different story. Our waiter, for 2 people not because he was busy but because he kept going back and for, was inattentive and spastic; the food was delivered in what I perceived a long while (15-20min); it was difficult to get pepper because there is none on the tables; the waiter did not check back with us although he went in front of our table numerous times. The only thing he did, I am not sure if this the process management requires from their servers, was to take the order which took about 35 minutes after we sat at the table. I was tempted to leave $0 tip but I did not want to shorten the other staff that brought us bread, food order and packed the rest of the food to go since they did okay. Due to this experience, I will unlikely come back. There are other steak restaurants in the area equally good or better to subject myself to this kind of service again.

So happy I was able to give this place a try! The octopus appetizer was A-M-A-Z-I-N- G, an absolute MUST try here. Also tried the chicken, Peruvian salmon, smoked salmon in the mason jar (really cool to see/ taste) and yucca which were all really delicious. Service is top notch here but 1-star off because the price points are bit ridiculous for D.C. (I laughed/my waiter laughed when I saw a $30 glass of chardonnay) Would definitely recommend coming here if you need a spot to impress a client/date.

Came here for the restaurant week and came out very impressed. Loved the imported sparkling water and the ambiance. Went with the 55$ option and every entree was amazing. The short ribs were just so juicy and flavorful. Also the bone marrow just melts in your mouth. Finished the meal off with a dulce leche cheese cake that topped it all off.

The food, the staff, the ambience..all five star! My Tomahawk Ribeye was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Can't wait to go back!! The staff was absolutely terrific. Just a great place to go.

Our experience was fantastic. Great service, perfect wine recommendations, and great food. Loved the presentation on meat, comes out on a smoking wood block. Unique touch!

Valet refuses to give change for $20,
Even though it was only supposed to be $10 if you ate there.

He didn't give us a chance to tip, he said he was keeping our money as his "cut".

Getting ripped off as you're leaving kind of ruined the experience!

I'd give 5 for the smoked tuna tartare, Wagyu brisket & the bread service. Chivito was mehhhhh. Wouldn't get it again. Dessert not worth the calories

Started with fabulous cocktails. Try the smokier ones which are served at the table, glasses upside down over a freshly extinguished tiny campfire. Then they add a giant ice cube and homemade spirits. Very speakeasy in presentation and delicious. Gin Joint with grilled grapefruit juice was yummy too. 4 people split appetizers of vegetarian empanadas, lobster ceviche--delicious-- but the winner was the creamy smoked crab served with tiny buttery biscuits and avocado relish. I could have made a meal of the appetizers alone but would have missed the meats! Rib-eye was waiter's recommendation and it was done perfectly. Also had giant grilled prawns and Peruvian chicken which comes with yucca. Three side sauces to mix and match. Also got the greens and fried tomatoes. Served family style. Those three entrees were more than enough for 4. Drinks were slow to come out but waiters and host were attentive and friendly. I would definitely return!

Excellent food - every appetizer and entree was outstanding. Very good, attentive service. Finding parking might be a challenge on street as I did not see any parking garage close by. A bit pricey.

Food was great but service was lacking. Our waiter was very unfriendly and did not guide us through the menu at all. One of the gentlemen in charge of refilling water explained everything to us when our waiter was nowhere to be found. We spent a lot of money here for service to be so slow. We asked for recommendations as this was our first time but the waiter was very indifferent to our questions. Not helpful at all.

I've been to a lot of Rio platense restaurants " Uruguayan , Argentinian steak houses" and the reason I like this one the best is the quality of the prime dry age meat and the big Peruvian influence in the appetizers and sides , well let me put it plain and simple riopletenses know grill and Peruvians know everything else and this place do justice to their food plus with the best available products available.

Thanks del campo will be back

Delicious food, but not very many vegetarian options. The carrot cake is a must-try.

Great food. We had the steak and iberico pork stir fry. Both were very flavorful and tasted awesome. They also have lots of plates that come to your table with smoking items. Smells great and very convient location for stuff near the Verizon center.

We were a party of 9, lovely decor. Service was slow and included a few mistakes (with both drinks and food). The food, by contrast, was quite good. I ate the ceviche de barrio for an appetiser and the smoked lamb shoulder for main (their smoked meats is what they're famous for). Both were delicious and very filling. The pisco sour was ok, but doesn't come close to Nazca Mochica (17/P NW). If they can just get the service and cocktails right, it'd be a wonderful place.

Good restaurant with great wine and great meats. The main reason I went after coming back from Argentina a few weeks back was the provoleta. It was not done to the incredible standard I had down there which was too bad.

    The service was excellent.

Excellent restaurant for a fancy dinner. The meats are their selling point, and they are well worth it. The portions are big and the service is very polite and helpful. Wines are quite overpriced, selection is good, though.
