Loved the food, nice patio and bar downstairs. Service was decent, knowledgeable about menu and recos, a little slow but not so much that it was bothersome. High quality farm to table restaurant
Dan and Anna were so kind to let us film a video on location! Thank you so much!
One very cool place! The bar downstairs is fantastic and the bartender was top notch, she made our cocktails perfectly. Definitely check it out if you are in the area!
Went to Decca for the 1st time the other day for drinks with a friend. Didn't try their food but went downstairs to the bar and had a couple shots of Tequila . I chose the best 1 they had, which cost 22 bucks a shot..that was a bit priceyin my opinion anyways..
The bartender was super accommodating and friendly.
But here's a little heads up to anyone looking to check it out, dress on the fancy side, everyone there was sporting button up shirts & slacks. Lol
The servers in this well decorated establishment are horrible. Our table and the adjoining table waited 20 minutes for tea, and waited an hour and a half for our food. While waiting on the risotto and pork chops that we order, they brought us cold bread. Then when the food arrived it was cold, undercooked and was just ok. My disappointment was exacerbated by a friend telling me that her party of seven was refused service in this same place and that the server didnt even come to the table to let them know for 30 minutes. The server are slow and reluctant to bring you items requested. The restaurant turns NuLu into NoGo. I will not return..evereven if the dinner was free,
I recently attended a wedding at Decca and I was truly impressed. The venue is lovely, with interesting, conversation-stimulating art everywhere, a gorgeous balcony, and three levels of dining space, each with its own particular ambiance. The food was phenomenal. Duck terrine, mussels in a curry sauce, lush saladsthese were before the main courses even arrived. The mains and desserts were delightful. The service was fantastic. Every little detail of the event was thought through. This is tremendously helpful, when you're in the thick of things. I would recommend this place for any large event, and I look forward to dropping in for a dinner sometime.
Great gourmet place in Louisville!
Lovely dishes with an amazing combination and balance of flavors on a very relax and confortable atmosphere.
Mostly really good thing has its price $$$$
The food was excellent and unfussy but creative. Service was a match. I was happy to find a favorite, reasonably-priced wine on the list. Dinner outside on a mild summer evening in the beautiful garden was a treat in every way.
I dined here with some friends a few weeks ago and was blown away by the food. Very well thought out menu items and great portion sizes. 6 people ordered two appetizers, individual entrees, and two sides to share with the table and we were too full to order dessert. I never thought I would say anything remarkable about cabbage, but their cabbage side dish was one of the best things I've had all year. The mussels were also spectacular and I had a hard time resisting licking the bowl in public. I highly recommend dining here!
My partner and I went to Decca for a lovely, romantic dinner. It was an expensive meal but everything was delicious. The cocktails and desserts were phenomenal.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for a date, anniversary, or friendiversary.
Went there to meet a friend for happy hour on a Tuesday. While waiting, I headed to their lower level, and waited at the bar. Very chill atmosphere. The bar food options were so good, and cocktails made just the way I like it. Can't wait to go back for the grilled cheese.
The food was excellent and the service impeccable.
Lovely ambiance and outdoor seating. Food is not anything spectacular for the price or "farm to table" advertising. There are much better restaurants in Louisville that I would spend my money on.
We've been to Decca at least six times, and have always loved it. It's a beautiful space, with both indoor and outdoor dining, and it's in a tremendous part of Louisville. The food is inventive and delicious, and the service is some of the best in the city. I can't recommend it enough. On our most recent visit, we loved the fried green tomatoes and charred napa cabbage caesar appetizers, and the rainbow trout entree. My girlfriend ordered one of the "middle course" pastas for her main course, which she also loved. If the weather is nice, dine outside in the beautiful area next the building. They sometimes have live music outside there, which is an added bonus.
Easily one of the best restaurants in town. Superb contemporary cuisine, well-balanced flavors, perfect portions. A perfect place for a couple with something to celebrate. Don't miss the basement bar!
I always go for the cool, brick laden basement of this place for a few cocktails and some old-silent cartoons. The drinks are excellent and a little steep but you most definitely get what you pay for. I've had a few of their bar-eats and so far I haven't been let down. Excellent place.
