Normally I would disagree with the los stars but in this case I really do have to agree I've been admitted here twice in one month the first time the dr was kinda rushing to discharge me and of course they did while I was leaving I was vomiting (noone cared) I told the nurse I'll be back I don't feel good and two days later I'm admitted again same thing dehydration weakness feeling like life was over for me they also misdiagnosed me but I'll get to that in a moment I discharged myself two days later and now I'm in SC in a hospital and when I say the triage nurse the ER nurse the ER dr the entire staff was nothing but concerned here I found out about the misdiagnosis and tho they had to admit me I've been here 3 days now but they care about me getting better and not rushing me out of here I am now able to even eat my heart rate is better and the good is amazing Dekalb Medical Hillandale I hope you guys have a job in a year or so cause at the rate you're going life's gonna get ya 🤗
My suggestion is to pass by this and any other DeKalb Medical Center. Some of the Nurse's are horrible...I would rather go to Grady. and if you have a love one in this Center stay with them at night that staff disappears.....
Good experience. Employees nice and professional. Get the job done
after reading the reviews I was very hesitate on coming here but I came today cause my daughter was having chest pains and I'm so glad that I came because the staff was very wonderful from the time I entered the building until the time I left. Dr. Jessica and nurse Gigi and the tech Shay was very professional and I didn't have a long wait I was here no more than 2 hours which is good cause normally you be at the hospital all day and this was my first visit so I would definitely come back if needed too way the go staff.
I've been to this hospital several times. None of my experiences were very pleasant. I went again yesterday and noted a very big improvement. I don't know if it was luck or not but the wait time has improved drastically and most of the staff was very pleasant and helpful. I normally avoid this hospital but I would definitely give them another chance after yesterday.
This the WORST hospital to EVER go to!!!! I would tell anyone please do not go here. The nurses have the nastiest attitude, AND the Doctors!!!!! They don't not care what is wrong with you and everyone walks around like they rather be everywhere else but here. The nurses was having a deep conversation about food instead of helping patients. I WILL NEVER go back to this hospital. THEY NEEED TO SHUT that ghetto ass place down.
The ER staff was great, very friendly and helpful. They took care of my mom immediately. We had no wait time. The doctor and nurses were very professional, and worked proficiently to get her to feeling better. Thanks to nurse Patrick and team.
Came Monday waited 6 hours only to be misdiagnosed. Came back Wednesday and Mario was so rude and one of the female nurses as well. Shut this hospital down! Maybe the main hospital is better. Emory or Northside for me next time even if it's 30 min further.
This has to be one of the worst hospitals in Georgia. I waited over 9 hours and I did not receive no results for nothing. All to be told 8 hours in that I would have to be transported to another hospital because what I was there for they did not specialize in. They took an ultrasound, drew blood, and got urine and still received no results for nothing. If I could give this place and negative 0 I would. Customer service was horrible. I waited over an hour for transport and still received nothing. I just couldn't believe how horrible of service this place have. From now on I will check reviews on everything.
Busy but clean. Dr who we had seen was very professional.
Its nasty and stink real bad. I felt dirty and wanted to leave. other then that my nurse was nice
I wonder do staff really read these reviews. I had the most disgusting experience with this hospital ever. After a auto accident, in which true enough DM main hospital save my life, i developed other issues. My legs were damaged in the accident so i had rods. i developed cellulitis. Being hospitalized at Hillandale was the worse ever.Doctors didn't care that they were causing me more pain and then sent me home without curing me. After two other er visits and being told oh you just have arthritis in that leg i decided to go to Emory. Best move i have ever made! I had developed osteomyelitis from an infected rod. It needed to be removed asap. Mind you DMC had offered to do it at a huge price as a elective surgery. lol. Emory treated me, infectious disease doctors cured me and i haven't had a recurrence since! Dekalb Medical at Hillandale. Just a place to take your money. Not help you. And anyone who says otherwise is a lie.
Horrible.....there is a serious issue!!!! People only go to the emergency room when they're in extreme pain! So the reception should have have a better attitude! At the end of the day you only have one job and that's checking people In if you didn't want the damn job you should've not applied for it lady with the synthetic red wing!!
I am absolutely disgusted with this hospital and see no need for it to even be operating. The staff is lazy and rude. Ex. I took my 10 month old daughter to ER. She had been running a fever for hours. They take her temp and it still 103.0. While getting her vitals I exampled to them that she was diagnosed by her pediatrician that she has Gastric Reflex Disease. Which means she pretty much has a weak stomach. They give my child Motrin and stick us in the waiting room amongst other obviously sick kids. After waiting a hour still waiting to be seen my daughter vomited the Motrin. A lady behind me said that's sad another child they gave Motrin to also vomited it back up. After waiting another hour my baby became hotter. Her clothes were soaking wet and they tell me to just take off her pants maybe that would help. No what would help is that you all would get off your lazy asses and work. I witnessed Medical Assistants and Nurses standing around watching the NBA finals instead of making sure the kids in the waiting room needed immediate help as my child did. They took breaks and even sent the officers to get food for them. Some people even clocked out and went home instead of helping get the people out of the waiting room. After Two and a Half hours of my daughter sweating and vomiting and still no had seen her. I got mad and took her downtown. I do not recommend you take your children or even yourself for that to this hospital. They have enough DeKalb Medical Hospitals. Close this mess down.
