All eateries and little market are closed at 6:45pm! There are still 4 more flights that have to leave and my flight is delayed until 8:50pm. I'm not angry about the delay but certainly the fact that it is 7pm and I can't get dinner!!!!!!
Great, clean airport, Food and coffee is ready early in the morning. Easy car rental and phone lot.
I️ just flew out form here and I️ was a breeze to navigate and was absolutely amazing
Quick and clean airport that is easy to navigate. Plenty of choices for food, drinks and gifts
This place is really moving up in the world.
I come here 1-3 times a month for a night and always plan to grab Chick-Fil-A when I show up, right after security.
Pretty causeways all over, good gift shops for trinkets and junk, and a starbucks at the base of the escalator to make you board happy.
Man this place is great. Its the first time I joined the mile high club
Easy to get in and out. Convenient to home and work, I love this airport. Come on Southwest put in a hub!!!
Unfortunately I get stuck at Dayton Airport quite frequently. Why do they feel the need to rip people off in the book store. A bag of peanuts that cost $4.00 at the store cost $12.00 at Dayton Airport. Why pray on someone's bad experience
This is a very small airport but that can be advantageous for a couple reasons. 1.) Little to no security lines - usually I can just walk right up to the TSA agent for them to check ID and boarding pass. So that means I can show up 50 min ahead of time with a checked bag and still have plenty of time to get food.
2.) Much friendlier TSA and employees than other airports
3.) Clean restrooms
Cons:
-Outdated, limited food selection
This airport really takes advantage of their customers. They boast, via signs, that they have "Economy Parking" for $5.00 a day, but this tiny lot is ALWAYS full and the next available option is Long Term parking at FIFTEEN DOLLARS A DAY! You can park in the short-term garage at the Greater Cincinnati airport for $10 a day. I used to think of Dayton as a more affordable alternative to CVG, but it's really not anymore it's a blatant rip-off!
I was here for an air show a few years back so my review isn't based on the airport as a business but rather as a grounds. I had a blast here. It's a smaller airport with all the features you would find in a larger city. Close to pretty much anything in the Dayton area. If you're flying in or out of Dayton you can literally stay right across the street from this airport. If you're thinking about attending an airshow here it's a no brainer. You'll enjoy it.
Never had a problem at Dayton International. Fairly smaller and less busy than most hub airports. I never seem to have to spend much time here, but it's exactly what I would want from air travel. Quick, quaint, and helpful.
