It was a decent experience, although the accommodations that I asked for (fridge & microwave) were not provided.
Clean, comfortable bed and accommodation. Good customer service, upscale furniture and a strong heater. This last was needed because the steel entrance door let a steady draft in through the cracks. It should be weatherstripped pronto. The hot water in the bathtub took forever to heat up to lukewarm and never really got hot. Few channels available on an older style TV.
Absolutely bare-bones. No tissues, shampoo, hairdryer. At least I didn't see any bedbugs. Room was fairly clean, but needs total renovation. Shower was ice cold but warmed up after 5 minutes. Wondered if there would still be hot water for people who woke up later.
The hotel was clean enough, and the front desk person was nice. The room could use a coffee maker and more towels. I had one each of a hand towel, bath towel, bath cloth. Had to go out for a cup of coffee.
We arrived late at night (midnight) after a long day in Chicago and were poorly received by staff. First, we were told there was no reservation under our name. Then reservation was found but needed to be paid (although we paid in advance). Once that was solved, we were given keys to our bedroom. At this point it was close to 1am. As we entered our room, we noticed it smelled like cigarettes, there were different stains in our bed sheets and chewing gum on the carpet. The shower had almost no hot water. Overall, an incredibly frustrating experience. I would stay away from this place if I were you.
Spent a night here kept waking up itching first I thought it was me because I didn't shower before bed so I got up took a shower and fell back to sleep around 5 I woke up itching and just decided to stay woke turned heater cause it was a bit chilly laid down cut the tv and in the corner of my eye can see something crawling... It was a big bed bug in the sheets crawling omg took pics n video killed it called office the lady at front desk was non chalant told me manager comes at 10-11 I asked to be moved ... upon check out I went to front desk asked for manager they told me manager was not there I asked for refund no refund left my number no call .. so unprofessional
The rooms walls are paper thin and so are the doors. Id stay if i was passing through n just needed a bed but to go for a romantic get away, probably not.
After driving 7+ hrs I was notified that I no longer had my reservation that I made in January at this hotel because they switched from a Days Inn to a Motel 6... I was NEVER notified of any changes nor that my reservation was not being honored. There was not a manager available and no further help was offered besides "I guess you can call corperate". I was also told that the switch had just happened 2 days prior and that they had completely filled all of their rooms within that time. The entire situation was handled VERY poorly. My husband and I were forced to stay at a hotel where we questioned the safety of ourselves and our belongings, however they were still more 'accommodating' than this Motel 6 in Alsip.
The web site had indicated "standard" beds, which, in the parlance, means double size. I confirmed this when calling in the morning before our arrival to confirm our reservations. I am tall and these are a bit small for me, but tolerable; I prefer queen. I was very pleasantly surprised to arrive and find a king size.
I grant only 4 stars due to being unable to convince them to combine my two rooms on one charge. This creates a problem for me which I shall not take time to explain.
One star because I can't give it 0.
Let me start this review by saying I did NOT book with Motel 6, and I didn't book with them for a reason. The hotel I booked with was bought out by Motel 6 and I was not notified until I arrived, making it too late to make a change. NO breakfast was included (well, coffee....that's not breakfast). NO hot water in my room for the 3 days I stayed there, I had to shower in different rooms. The cleaning crew came in and left my blinds WIDE OPEN for everyone to see my personal belongings while I was away all day. No blow dryers. No refrigerators, or microwaves. Smoking rules were NOT enforced and my entire room smelled like smoke ALL DAY LONG! Smokers were smoking directly outside their rooms and right by my air conditioning intake. Nothing was done about this.
Beds were so hard I might as well of slept on the floor. And crappy half size pillows provided! HORRIBLE! Didn't sleep at all the 3 nights I stayed there.
Staff was extremely rude and not at all understanding. WORST HOTEL STAY EVER!!!
Good very reasonable priced motel. Ask for room with good WiFi if that is inportant to you
Both time I went could not get rest Party in other rooms to the morning.
No hot water in my room after allowing it to run for 10 min , breakfast was good and staff was nice but seriously some people like hot water
Carpet damp, toilet leaking water on floor, TV old poor picture, no working WiFi, that's after moving from another awful room to this one. First experience at a Days Inn.
We pulled in at about 9 PM. There was one girl working the counter. She was a little stressed looking, but after a few minutes we were given our keys and went to our rooms. The room was clean, but there was one lamp we could nkt figure out how to work, or the whole outlet wasnt working. Breakfast was good. But there weren't many options. The juice was watered down and didn't taste good.
