  It is sad and sickening that Deputy Wooten would violently attack Ms. Tisdale and infringe on her free speech and suppress her ability to act as free press. What is sickening and treasonous is the sheriff's departments decision to suppress and infringe on her right to redress against the department as she was a victim by malicious charges are filed against her to bully her because she filed a complaint against Wooten and the department.

  Cops are crooked in Dawsonville but this jail had the best food out of the ones I've visited and it was pretty clean compared to the others too.

  The staff at the Dawson County detention center was very friendly and accommodating. The food was only ok. There is room for improvement in the food department. Store is TOP SHELVE!!! Keefe coffee 100%!!! I would recommend doing time at Dawson County detention center. It is 2nd only to Gwinnett. I think they even have a frequent flyer program!
  I give them two thumbs up. 👍👍 If the food was up to par, I would give them a five star rating.

  My husband called 911 for me because I was pregnant and suffer from ptsd, I had an episode and he was holding me down until the ambulance got there for my safety until the ambulance arrived and the ambulance never arrived only 6 officers they slammed me on the ground I was 8 months pregnant and arrested me because I accidentally scratched him. My husband didn't press charges only begged for them to take me to the hospital which they didn't. They charged me with 6 different things which I didn't do. They threw me in a holding cell for 7 days. Put me on probation for 2 years.
  These cops and town is crooked .

  I had an auto incident & the officials who responded were SO CARING! They located my cell & contacted my husband to inform of status. I've never felt as concerned over as I did by these officials. The county is GREATLY enriched to have the dedicated officers as they do serving this area.

  The police department discriminated against my special needs son with autism. If you have kids with special needs and are travelling do not stop in this town. They deserve to have their pants sued off them..

  I called 911 to report an infant and a toddler left in a car at kroger. We were waiting for the officer to arrive and noticed fire fighters pull up. My husband got their attention and they also called 911. They asked the toddler to roll the window down. The little girl said her mommy was shopping and usually leaves her in the car. We waited over 30 minuets and no officer showed up. The mom got a lecture from the fire fighters but just ignored them and drove off. The operator called me back and had an attitude when i asked her why it took over 30 minutes! She said they had other things. I said Childrens safety should be a pretty high priority! Just think of all the bad things that could have happened?? It was really hot today for one, kid could have just left the vehicle, let anyone in it, and God knows what else. Im a mother of three. I get how hard it is sometimes but this is against the law and should be taken seriously!! Im very very disappointed in the lack of urgency that was shown and the lack of respect from the operator.
