The racing is a 10 no lifting, all out drag racing. The points quickly come off from there. I was there for the first and last time a few months ago and I'm still mad about my experience. The announcer sounded a like an crazy drunken homeless guy they found wandering down the road. He was walking around near the crowd and make obscene gestures behind women spectators, definitely not family friendly. And he wouldn't shut the #@*% up, most times you couldn't hear the cars go down the track over his pathetic attempts at stand-up comedy. Even if you put in ear plugs, this track endorses open gambling. I hate grudge racing, but this is straight up open gambling when they turn off the timing board at the finish line. I was standing by the burnout box, a few guys gathered to bet each other on races, then suddenly dozens gathered waving money at each other. I then became concerned for my safety when dudes started shoving, yelling, and taking swings at one another. Even though they had Maywether fight on a projector that night, I was out of there--a totally low class joint. Families and real race fans beware.

Ive been to a few tracks and by far darlington is top dog, parking is easy, race car traffic aint bad, very organized staff and and event personnel. I just got bacl from orlando speed world and darlington dragway is still 100% nicer

Track prep is great, but it's tough driving 1.5 hours to Darlington each time I go, to only get a max of 5 passes if I'm lucky. Hard to tune a car with test n tune in 3 runs over 5 hours.

The Miller's have done a great job renovating "The House of Speed "! With Jimmy Bradshaw from MIR working the track back to better than the glory days, Can' t wait to get back!
