As we were getting out of our car at the Old Mill Restaurant, chef Earle was arriving to work, welcomed us, and told us he would prepare something special for us for dinner that evening. Boy oh boy, did he ever! He suggested a delicious variant of his rib eye steak---sliced Brazilian style, made the best shrimp and grits I ever had (the grits were firm because they'd been lightly fried into a square), served up fabulous pecan encrusted trout, and prepared a tuna that was seared just right. Make sure to order Stacked Potatoes as one of your sides! The presentation and deliciousness of the food were something like we'd expect in a famous gourmet restaurant. It was a delightful meal, Chef Earl and his staff exceeded our expectations, and WE'LL BE BACK! In fact, we'll drive out of our way for this food. We highly recommend the culinary experience at Damascus Old Mill Inn Restaurant. Just ask to speak to the chef when you arrive.

Had a great experience this last visit. The server was helpful and prompt and the food was fresh and tasty. A selection of local craft brews was a bonus. The deck provided a good view of the river and pleasant ambience.

Ate at the restaurant and was very pleased that Sonia and her staff were so attentive and kind to us when an error occurred in our order. They quickly made it right and we enjoyed our meal on the outside deck with a beautiful Creek view.. We liked this local venue with a very complete menu, bar and music and would visit again.

This inn invites you in with its beautiful views, but what makes you want to come back is the wonderful staff. The restaurant is a class act. The breakfast that comes with the price of the room-- fresh fruit, homemade egg-cheese-ham casserole, fresh blueberry muffins, coffee cake, great coffee, juices, and more. Then there is the superb menu for lunch and dinner prepared by Chef Earl. The Old Mill serves the best food in town and rivals the best restaurants in Abingdon and Bristol.

Our family of 5 enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Damascus Old Mill Inn, before heading out on the Virginia Creeper Bike Trail the next day. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The service from Brook (at the front desk) was exceptional. She went above and beyond normal expectations to show us around and help with items we forgot to bring.

One of the most fantastic experiences of my life! We rented the Old Mill as a wedding reception and lodging for my daughter's wedding. The staff there was exceptional and kind. I was decorating for the reception and the staff was bring personal items to help me. There attention to details and personal enteraction with the guest that stayed there was the kind of service that you just don't see anymore. So a very special thank you for a great crew! Carrie,Jill,and Ryan I will never forget what you did to make my daughters wedding day so special.
