DSW claims to have most sizes in stock. Hardly true!!! Men's selection has few wide widths other than a couple of basic dress shoe styles and a few random sneakers. The web sites for brands like Timberland, Clark, Florsheim and Rockport show that many of their styles are available in widths other than plain D but DSW rarely, if ever, carries them. Prices are no big deal either. Big selection, I guess, if you have average size feet but terrible otherwise.

The line was long and slow. There was problem with the card reader. All the cashiers were on the phone with tech support.

Okay so I ordered a pair of Steve Madden sneakers AT THE STORE. I showed them the blush color shoes and I specifically told the person behind the counter that I wanted these shoes but in OLIVE GREEN. I know they heard me loud in clear because they said “ok olive green.” 5 business days later I receive my package...1. THE SHOES WERE WORN, like ew. 2.They sent me black. I just don’t understand how you get black and olive green mixed up seriously.

Decent selection, but the employees don't seem to want to help.

Ordered a pair of shoes online, went to the store to check if they had arrived, the shoes were already there, they never emailed me to let me know, and instead, they had put one of my PAID shoes on display! I asked for my money back.

So I take off my lunch break to pick up three pairs of shoe I ordered online at the Atlantic DSW store in Brooklyn NY and it was a complete waste of my time! I tracked my package to confirm it arrived 2 days in advance. I called 30mins in advance to let them know I was on my to pickup my order. It took me 15mins to get to the location and when I asked the cashier who was free, she told me to ask a staff in isle. When I did, that person shouted she have to check my ID and so I showed it to her. She came back with nothing telling me that they don't have the package. I told her that I tracked it and said the package arrived (4 days ago) and I even called twice to confirm. She was also telling me nonsense that after a week DSW return packages. My package only arrived at the Atlantic DSW location 4 days ago. Her manager want and looked and found the packages. Then I heard her bad mouthing me to other staff. That was it! I returned the all the shoe immediately! The cashier was nice and apologized. I definitely do not recommend this location. I don't write reviews but this warrant one. Nine West here I come - customer service is so much better.

Better than the old location. Thousands and thousands of shoes. The store is tidy, too. Definitely Union Square's best place for shoe shopping.

Never have my size in store in ladies, so I can't try on anything. The staff don't seem to appreciate that having to order, wait for and then send back ill fitting shoes over and over is not only inconvenient but really depressing if you want well made shoes in a size 12. I've never bought anything for myself here.

The actually shop is well laid out and typically clean with a wide selection of styles.

If only they carried my size...

DSW buys out stores that are closing and shoes that didn't sell in certain popular stores. This is not a bad thing.I paid a rather fair price for Asics shoes very nice and normally these are 150$ shoes and I paid 59.99$ and earned enough rewards to get a 10& coupon that unfortunately I failed to use.I was pleased with the securities positive attitude as I walked in and the workers were busy putting shoes back where they belong. The isles were clean and not cluttered I was in and out within 20 minutes and the cashier was just fine.I observed as I was in line and noticed the wallets and orther accessory items that are affordable and nice.I observed the employees working hard in the shoes and cleaning of isles.I have no complaints.well done guys

Very bad customer service not even a smile with the manager. I went there last night to buy a choose with a picture of a copon they sent me. The manager refuse to take it, at first she said you have to take the picture of the back of the copon too when I said I can get it, she said actually you have to bring the copon we don't accept pictures. I m a customer of that place for more than 10 years and I always take pictures for coupons and it works. Very bad customer service. Not even a smile
