Normally we order the Buffalo Chicken Salads like twice a week at work and would normally get a 5 star. however they recently switched to smaller containers for the salad and has the nerve to charge the same. No go!
Don't order from them after 11pm, won't deliver food and will hang up if you ask for a refund despite a 90+minute wait time.
Delivery guy was awful. I missed his call and called him back within the minute. He went off saying I should answer my phone and that he turned around because his boss told him to. He didn't pick up when I called him back and then blamed me. He came back and kept saying he was doing me "a favor" by coming back. Service is awful. Food isn't special. This is a terrible place. Don't waste your money here.
Hmmm. The food wasn't particularly bad, but the dough was slightly overcooked and chewy. The toppings I ordered may not have been placed in my Calzone (Ricotta cheese was not there or extremely scarce, the 75 cent spinach topping resulted in maaaaybe four leaves being placed in my calzone). The order of chicken with the eggplant probably wasn't the best idea because there was definitely twice as much eggplant vs meat.
Overall, when you do a Construction Zone, be careful! Don't use too many toppings because the calzone might be inconsistent (slightly burnt taste, extremely scarce ingredients). I'm just comparing my experience with a calzone I purchase from another restaurant about 20 minutes down the road which also comes to be a few dollars cheaper and much much better.
The food was alright. 3.2/5 stars.
I was so excited to try DP dough and ordered two construction zone calzones with garlic parm topping. However, the calzones left me a little disappointed. There was barely any garlic parm topping (that I paid extra for) and the overall flavor was verybland. I felt like the filling could have used a bunch of Italian seasonings, salt, fresh garlic etc. I don't think I'll be returning, but I still think it deserves 3 stars.
Sometimes delivery takes long, but its consistently during peak times and once it gets really late, so you know what you are getting into. The calzones are delicious and you can get anything you want in them (construction zone). They frequently have deals that make it even more worth it.
D.P. Dough is a UMD staple-- people order from here because the delivery times are insanely short and the restaurant is open crazy late. The food is decent and the calzones are better than you'd expect. The only issue is that D.P. Dough's service is really lackluster-- you'll often deal with rude employees over the phone.
Great portions and quality. A staple of the college Park experience
Good service. Calzones are not bad but the marinara needed more seasoning.
Horrible food and service is even worse. They showed up almost 2 hours late (after I repeatedly called) with rock hard cold disgusting good . I talked to Ben who claimed to be the manager and he told me it would be free because they were so late but this was a lie. The driver hastled me for over 5 minutes to sign the credit receipt to the point where I finally had to just shut the door to get him to leave. He then came back and knocked on my door repeatedly demanding I sign the receipt. I will never eat here again and Ben is compketely incapable abd should be fired
Please make sure to read this review and the horrible experience I was greeted with. Made my order online on a Friday night which I get can be crazy. Waited over an hour after the scheduled pick up time for my food, the order was then wrong and wasn't fixed. I wrote in then was told by a rep named initials M. A. (I would list the full name but I think that would get flagged) that he would be refunding the purchase of $30 I spent but here we are almost two months later and nothing. Thanks for the horrible customer service.
