D MET is a design-intensive Architecture studio located in Midtown Detroit. The work of D MET focuses on beautifying and revitalizing contemporary urban space.
Founded by couple Joel Schmidt and Elizabeth Skrission, D MET is located at 15 E. Kirby in the Park Shelton.
D MET specializes in an creative design approach that combines academic insight with hands-on experience for clients who desire meaningful change and long-lasting value.
Recent projects include: Midtown Detroit Inc.’s Co-lab and Community Room on Woodward; the Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Co. Institute for Advanced Drinking; the Detroit office for the Kresge Foundation; a new facade for Canine to Five Doggy Day Care; identity work at Marcus Market; and ongoing improvements at 4130 Cass Avenue including a new facade and the build-out of La Feria Spanish Tapas.
