An under the radar gem on Asheville restsurant scene. We had an excellent meal and superb service. The quality of the food and craft cocktails was outstanding!

Food and atmosphere was great. Unfortunately, we had a table by the "corner". This was a few months ago, so not sure if it's still relevant. By the entrance to the kitchen, there is a corner that every staff member yells "Corner!" when approaching--to avoid collision I assume. That became annoying very quickly. Otherwise, great experience.

Lovely spot. We went for date night. Put in reservations early and got a corner table by the window. Loved the tasting menu.

Got the "tasting" menu. Everything was excellent. Except the entrees. I ordered the skate. It was beyond the most bland thing I've ever had. My water had more flavor. No flavor to the nasturtium puree, the broccoli, the skate.. The flowers(again nasturtium,) that were used as garnish had any flavor. I had a couple of bites and didn't touch the rest. Severely disappointed. My girlfriend got the duck, at least the sauce had flavor but everything else on the plate needed salt. Taste, season, taste again. It's culinary 101. Acid and salt. Use it and use it wisely.

The tasting menu is where it's at! Such deliciously odd combinations that are the reason I go out to a restaurant - to try new things. Loved every minute of this experience - from the ambiance to the drinks, service and food - two things up!

We loved this restaurant one of our all time greats, if not our greats "GOAT"!!!!! We had the prefixed type dinner @ 45.$ and a wonderful bottle of wine suggested by our waitress. My wife just said that wonderful for this place is not accurate," unique , superb, and an artistic presentation, exceptional taste would be correct.

Had the "tasting menu" (aka family style meal) which started with "odd plants and white anchovy sauce" and wrapped up with a berry torte. Katie was our server and she was outstanding. The bartender mixed fantastic drinks which was followed by a great Italian chardonay. Atmosphere was open and not noisy despite every table being full. "Tasting menu" courses (5) came out at a nice pace for a 2.5 - 3 hr experience. Check it out!

Great atmosphere, starters creative and tasty. But confusing main menu and pasta HORRIBLE. Tough, minimal taste and dry. TOO MANY OTHER GREAT PLACES IN ASHEVILLE TO WASTE YOUR TIME HERE

Incredible restaurant with a phenomenal staff. These folks take fresh, local, and hand-made very seriously. Enjoy the highest quality meal in a high-end casual atmosphere. Great cocktail and wine program. High quality Burial beer on draft. Can't wait to go back.
P.S. Get the cheese boardyou think you've had them all but these cheeses are made in-house.response / report this review
