This place was highly recommended by a friend so I might have just had a bad experience but I was pretty disappointed. I'm not a picky person and don't usually give bad reviews since I worked as a server for many years and understand the struggle. But they didn't warn us that they don't split checks and we had a big group. They told us they would put tables together to seat us comfortably and never did. Half of my group of 10 didn't receive their full order. Waiter never checked on us so we constantly had to ask for little things like water and utensils. Also some servers/workers in the back kept kissing on the lips and were pressing against each other in a main hallway which was odd. This was especially frustrating since we had to constantly ask for their attention and help.

Positives: The environment and design of the place was pretty cool, the music and drinks were good, the food was delicious albeit small in portion size.

But for the high price we expected way more. Definitely only a place to drink and dance, I would skip the food.

Food was amazing! Service was excellent. Lilly is a great waitress. Tables were cleared at 11 to open the dance floor. It was a great vibe! I would definitely recommend it and will definitely be back. I had an amazing time. Drinks were great

Went for lunch yesterday. Ordered the lunch bento with black bean soup, spinach goat cheese balls, skirt steak, and flan. It was tapas style so smaller portions, but variety to try for first time visit. Delicious!

Soup was creamy and fulfilling. Spinach goat cheese was savory, but a little heavy. Skirt steak had a nice char and paired well with the potatoes. Flan was sweet with a mango sauce and the vanilla cookie's crunch complimented the flan's soft texture.

Also shared a half pitcher of red sangria with friends. Sangria was good, but as expected. Rest rooms here are clean and contemporary. Ambiance and decor as expected: causal and friendly. Would come here again!

The decorations were captivating and reminded me of a movie set. We were seated soon after arriving and our order was quickly taken. The staff was not only quick but especially helpful and kind. They had amazing appetizers and food. A member of my party went to Cuba and said that it was very authentic and we all agreed it was delicious and plated well.

I had a 3 course meal: appetizer, main meal, dessert. Everyone one of them was very well presented, and very tasty. The drinks were amazing, the service was great. The music made it that much better. The only downside they sat us next to the entrance on a very cold night. Aside from the seating i honestly loved this place highly recommended.

Good manager but Rude front reception staff that don't care about your business- the food here is always good but the greeter staff are a detriment to the business. Went at a non busy time- plenty of open tables - was told there were no tables available - will not be back. You have other options in DC. Don't waste your time here.

Exquisite authentic flavor of Cuban Cuisine. Excellent Mojitos! On the expensive side but worth it. Service is excellent as well. Is my first visit to DC from NYC. Will definitely come back again to this place on my next visit.

We got take out to eat at the hotel. The food was good but pricey for the portions, but maybe standard for this level restaurant in downtown DC. The empanadas are tiny! The Cuban beans & rice side dish was delicious, so good that they were still good from the fridge for lunch the next day!! The plantains were pretty greasy. The atmosphere was good with 'authentic' decor (I've never been to Cuban so I don't know what really is authentic).

I normally don't write bad reviews, but the experience here was very frustrating. Very rude wait staff. Ignored us most of the time when trying to get their attention. When they spoke it was as if they were doing us a huge favor by talking to us. Food seemed alright but definitely not worth the price or dealing with the wait staff. Would not recommend. There are much better places to eat in D.C.

Great happy hour food and drinks. The bartender on 7/21 was so awesome. She handled the rush of people flawlessly and let the giant group of us split our checks. Thank you! We'll definitely be back.

I've been looking forward to going here for a while! I love Latin food, but I was a bit disappointed. The seafood Paella, was good, not great. We also ordered ribs, which is where it started to go south, they must be boiled, which works for some, but not I! They didn't have any flavor beyond the sauce. So, if little to no seasoning on your ribs work, they might be delicious to you! Posted pics, enjoy!!!

Service was slow, especially for drinks. Waited 45 min for the second drink after ordering.. they were eventually comped but mostly because they wanted us to leave so they could clear the table for their Friday night festivities. Which, we would have been don by then if the service hadn't been so bad.

I ordered the shrimp. It was super over cooked unfortunately.

The location in point Orlando is much much better!!! Try that one for the modern Cuban experience.

Amazing night out with my sister. We met some great people and had drinks. The music was great. Service was excellent and this was at the bar. Really fun place and I'm not sure about these other comments because this was one of the best Cuban bar/clubs I've ever been to. You go in there knowing that the place costs more and delivers on great salsa, etc music and atmosphere. Very nice. We will definitely be back!

I really want to rate this place higher because their food and drinks are excellent. But I've received some poor service in the past. Still worth a visit though!

They went all out for with their Cuban motif. It's a two story restaurant - very high ceilings - loaded with the decor of a Cuban street. They have fake fronts of houses and buildings in the second story part of the restaurant. The food is solid. The staff is very helpful.

The staff and ambiance was great and they were really accommodating to food restrictions. In fact, they even asked when we came in to the host area to be seated. Tasty food and a fun take. Might not be fully authentic, but pretty solid. Desserts were interesting and not terribly sweet, which I appreciated.
