The Croton-Harmon Station of the Metro-North Hudson Line is a hub.

It serves several Amtrak lines. It is also a major express stop for the Hudson line.

You want to contact for detailed information.

Trains arrive on time. Metro North cards were really useful for many trips in Manhattan.

A perfectly effective commuter rail station. Architecture was recently renovated from 1980’s banal to 2010's banal. Beware, some parts of the parking lot are subject to minor flooding after heavy rains or unusually high tides. Many trains per hour. Parking is VERY expensive compared to Cortlandt station, just a few miles to the north.

The northernmost reasonable commute on the Hudson line into the city. Frequent trains and scenic views. The station also serves Amtrak.

Great Train Station. Fastest train to NYC Grand Central station 46min. Slowest 67min with all stops. Make SURE to buy ticket before boarding otherwise high extra cost of $5.75 to $6.50. You can use MTA eTix app to purchase MTA eTix mobile tickets in advance. You will need to activate tickets just before boarding and be able to show your mobile device for ticket validation.

AMTRAK is quite amazing, contrary to another reviewer's perspective. Yes, it rarely departs when scheduled at Croton-on Harmonbut that's because Metro-North trains (which own the station) get priority, while Amtrak has to wait, which also explains why it switches tracks at the last minute a lot.
On the other hand, the red caps couldn't be nicer, even in busy Penn Station, as well as the conductors. In other stations, the trains seem to run on time, and the ride is very pleasant. Other people I talk to love it too.

Croton-on Harmon has recently bee renovated, and it is much nicer looking now!

The Croton-Harmon Amtrak stop is about a 45 minute train ride from Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan, but it's a beautiful ride along the Hudson River. Tickets weren't expensive and the trains themselves are decent. This actual station is outdoor except for a waiting area on level two with a vending machine and a small coffee stand.
