Please call your physician or the Health Department to schedule immunizations if they have yet to be received. Please provide a copy of the immunization record to your child's school. Per Arkansas state law, if your child is missing immunizations, he or she will not be able to attend school after September 30th until the immunizations are received. The Crossett School District would like to inform our parents and patrons about a statewide situation involving schools in Arkansas. The Little Rock FBI office issued a general awareness statement regarding an unsubstantiated report they received from a source that lives out of the country and whose identity could not be confirmed. The report indicated that a school shooting would occur in Arkansas on 8/29/19. The reporting party allegedly received the information while pla...ying an online video game.
The threat is not specific to any school in Arkansas and there are no known threats directed at Crossett School District. However, we take all safety concerns seriously and will continue to monitor the situation and work with local law enforcement to ensure students and staff are safe at all times. Again, the general awareness statement is not specific to any school district in Arkansas, including Crossett School District.
