Fun course. Played solo and only played thru 1 foursome. It was a 3 hour round. Hole 13 had a temporary green set up. The course was in great shape. Will play again.
Played this course on June 14th 2023. This course has a great layout and is fun to play. However, it does need some work with the fairways, bunkers, and tee boxes as you can see from the pictures. The greens were in good shape which was a plus. They could be cut but we received some rain a couple days straight. The clubhouse looks good on the inside and so do the eating area. Driving range and chipping area could also use some attention from the staff. Overall not bad course to play. It would be worth it.
Played 5/3/23bottom line is Do Not Waste your Time or $$.
The layout is nice. But the conditions are a cow pasture. Non existing tee boxes, greens were in dire stright.
Apparently the course was just sold.
Should have given us Lunch at least.
I'll check back in 2 years.
I played 3 courses on a short trip with my wife. She picked Hilton Head for an anniversary trip and rode along with me on some quick late night golf rounds before we went to dinner. I played Robert Trent and a port royal course and this was my favorite course/layout and my wife’s favorite views. Just like the other courses the conditions weren’t what I was expecting coming down on this trip. I heard good things about Hilton head golf and expected so much better. I regularly play a course that is in poor condition but even my course has better greens than the courses I played which is unbelievable. I can get over the cart paths, fairways, rough and just move the ball around but I’m not sure why the greens and fringe areas on these courses aren’t in better shape or faster. If this course was in better condition it would be a really nice track. It was a nice round though I had the course to myself teeing off at 5pm on a Sunday. I had a tee time at the Fazio course after playing Robert Trent night before but switched to this last minute which I am glad I did. Again I enjoyed the layout and scenery, just needs some work but that can likely be said for every course in the area except maybe sea pines which I didn’t get a chance to play.
Mixed feelings - the greens in July2021 are in good condition- the entire course is actually. However - two critiques: 1) the cart paths are brutal! If you have back pain from jarring bumps be prepared, 2) I wish they had more yardage markers because it’s a long walk each way when cart path only.
The girl at the counter in the pro shop was very kind.
