Covered Wagon is not a clothing company with an interest in philanthropy – we're philanthropists who believe in self-expression and esprit de corps via the shirts on our backs, the caps on our heads, and the flags flying high above our tailgate parties.We're not here with the sole intent of providing you guys with some sweet threads. You have sources for that – one or two locally, even, who are pretty good at hooking you up with above average alternatives to the gear you'd find in the team shop or the bookstore. We're here to start a movement, an initiative among us, that emphasizes a pair of principles:- Leave it better than you found it.- Never stop pushing your limits.Whether we're donating our time and resources to the Humane Society (…one of our favorite initiatives), outfitting some local Little Leaguers, or simply giving above our tithe, our tribe subscribes to the notion of irrational generosity – a disposition we hope to spread by example. We take a lot of pride in where we're from and the communities that we call home. With that in mind, our chief desire is to leave it all better than we found it.The Covered Wagon mark – the wagon, itself – represents the tenacity and steadfastness of the ancestors who preceded us with a legacy that endures. Each time our roads diverge in a wood, may we always throw caution to the wind and choose the manifestation of Robert Frost's own account. Never yielding, ever ambitious, we may be so bold as to aspire to serve as the inspiration for others who toe the edge of a cliff, unsure if they can fly.That's our movement – "The Movement," if you'll allow – and this space currently occupied by an explanation, will soon be occupied with a running documentary of evidence. We share our home with a people who have proven, time and again, that there exists strength in numbers and unlimited power in their collective solidarity. To shine a light on that power, that passion, is our greatest honor.
