The worst. Lazy staff and management, all of them are clock watchers. Beds, business center, rooms, bathrooms, tvs, etc are old, outdated and over priced. They will tell you a free morning continental breakfast! It's a small Starbucks, $3.75 for a cup of coffee I'd rather stay at a hostel.
Very Happy. The room was very clean. The bed was vas comfortable. Soft beut supportive. The pillows were great.
The staff is super nice and helpful.
House keeping did a great job.
Thank you
The staff was super nice, especially the bartender. The hotel was very clean. They had a decent drink selection.
The beds were very soft and comfortable. The rooms were nice and a good size. The hotel location is very convenient for walking to dinner. The only thing I didn't like was not having a breakfast available for free, but I knew that when booking the room. A Bistro cafe was available with options for breakfast at a charge, but it didn't open until after I needed to be on the road for traveling.
It needed a lot of upgrades, looks like the maintenance has fallen to the side a bit like the carpet in the hallways and the walls needed painting and the bed comforters and curtains were outdated. The gym was very small but the equipment worked perfectly, I loved the glass elevator, but the stairs to the upper floor needed some elbow greece and maintenance as well. I didn't swim in the pool, but there was a family I saw enjoying it both days. I asked for a handicap accessible room, but other than a few added handrails in the bathroom, it really was not. The doorway into the bathroom was barely wide enough for a lightweight wheelchair, and my grandma would not have been able to get into the bathtub easily if she'd needed to. For regular people like us, it was a fine hotel, but it doesn't live up to it's expectations or it's price. However, the group of couches and chairs in the lobby were great, and the breakfast was nice with many different options. I still brought my own breakfast (bagels and cream cheese and coffee creamer) because I'm vegan, but the rest of my family enjoyed it.
Location is close to shopping and dining. Staff were friendly and helpful. Property has a secluded entrance which made it feel more secure than other hotels.
Didn't have a good experience here. Check in was fine, but when we checked out the front desk attendant was ruder than could be and didn't even look us in the eyes or thank us for staying. She was very short and very rude. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Sadly will not be back.
The staff was welcoming. The amenities were outstanding. We attended a pool party/reunion there and had a great time!
Convenient location with tons of restaurants around. Hotel is a bit dated but still nice. My biggest complaint is the shower head is shorter than me. Staff is very nice and it has the typical courtyard bistro.
The lady working the front desk was great. For the most part the room was fine, but there were a few issues. The tub faucet dripped and was pretty annoying if I was in the bathroom area, but I did not notice it while in bed. However the air conditioner was also leaking. When I went to close the curtains, my socks got soaked and I realized the carpet around the a.c. was wet. Then around 2:00 in the morning I woke up to a really loud dripping noise. I turned the air off and it eventually stopped. Of course then the room got warm. I might stay there again but I would want those things fixed.
Good location with plenty of food and shopping options. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Hotel is clean, however, there is a slight odor to my room that makes if feel like I'm in a locker room.
Super friendly staff. Very personable. Rooms could use an update. May stay again.
The room was nice and location next to restaurants was within walking distance. A Starbucks in the lobby is always nice. Great staff.
Old school Courtyard so it has that cozy feel. Balcony view was great. Close to restaurants. Probably ready for a remodel but the room was clean and the front desk was efficient.
Let me start by saying I travel for a living...30+ years all over the world...mostly North American Hotel Chains. I use three of the Major Chains...but have always been fond of the Courtyard Marriott. Regarding the one in Topeka KS...well I would recommend you look elsewhere. I look for dependable quality defined as being clean quit comfortable and friendly staff. Well they failed miserably on the first 3. Issues include
1 Musty smell in room
2 Oh that's why...Mildew on Bathroom ceiling
3 old beat up furnishings torn couch
4 Coffee maker broken
5 wall paper peeling
Well if the rate was $60-70 and there weren't any other choices in Topeka then I might stay again...then again maybe not
