This hotel was generally clean and the bed was fine. The shower didn't work well and the sofa bed was... Disappointing. The staff was friendly, but breakfast took forever and wasn't very good, especially for the cost. There is also very little sound proofing in the rooms. The cost and location were right, so I'd stay again.

The hotel is conveniently located right off 270. It's a quiet area. Not much within walking distance, but an easy drive to lots of Rockville activities. We stayed here because of a wedding. Very pleasant staff, nice clean rooms. It was nice to have a courtyard view and walk out patio. I failed to bring my earplugs, which is usually my standard for traveling. Teenagers across the hall were in and out of their room all night and I could hear more than I liked. My husband, however, had no problem sleeping through it. If you're a light sleeper, pack earplugs. We'd stay again if we had a specific reason (this was not a destination point for us).

We give Courtyard by Marriott in Rockville, MD 5 GOLD STARS! Gabby is the one of the most professional, compassionate, calm, problem solvers bar none. We came from Virginia to visit a relative that is in Hospice care at Byron House. Thank You folks at Byron House for telling us about this wonderful facility. It was so inviting and so was the staff. Every public area was clean, polished, very well appointed and comfortable. The room was wonderful, again clean, polished, very well appointed and comfortable. All the basics were just at your finger tips....it showed that a lot of thought went into providing comfort. The Market Place, fabulous idea, we could purchase healthy foods and beverages for my 6 year old daughter....did not have to rely upon vending machines. The food at the Bistro was delicious. All the pricing from the room to meals were very reasonable. We will come again and will definitely refer! Our Sincere Thanks to everyone for providing such a pleasant experience. When folks do their best it does not go unnoticed. Dana Yancy-Smith and Family.

It's a great hotel for business travel not so much for holiday as there is nothing nearby. It seems to have been renovated recently so the decor, furniture and fittings look new. It is spacious, the suite had a fridge but no microwave. They have a small bistro in the lobby but it has limited hours. The rooms along the inner wall have a better view (pool and patio area). The service is okay nothing special.

Hotel was fine. Nothing outstanding, no free bottles of water even for a gold Marriott member.

The rooms are spacious comfortable and quiet it has everything you need except for a microwave. It has a refrigerator but no microwave oven. That's kind of like having Kool-Aid but no sugar.

Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. The bathroom was clean and free from mold and mildew. Looked as if the rooms had been updated within the past few years. Location is easily accessed by nearby highways and major roadways.

Check in with William was easy. Gave us a choice of floors, which I appreciated. Great bed, clean room.

Very disappointed pool is closed Mon-Wed.. the three days we stayed here with two kids stuck in the hotel while their mom was delivering a baby at the local hospital. Would have stayed at one of the other local non-pool having hotels had I known. Should have been disclosed upon reservation, or at a minimum when checking in. Finding out with kids in swimsuits was less than ideal. Overall hotel accommodations we're ok. Seems in need of a refresh - older feel than most courtyards or Hilton properties we have stayed at.

Clean, quiet, not going to bend over backwards to help you or make you feel important so service could use an upgrade

The hotel is a little tricky to access if you don't turn onto Research Blvd from Shady Grove. Despite that, my stay was very comfortable and everyone was very courteous, including the housekeeping staff I passed on my way to check out in the lobby. The lobby, halls, and my room were clean and neat--though it might be worth noting that the color scheme in my bathroom was...interesting (one red and two yellow walls?). I'd like to especially commend one employee in particular, Annie, who drove the hotel shuttle for me and went above and beyond with kindness. I only stayed one night and didn't have any downtime to use the gym or the pool so I can't rate those, but this hotel is a great place to stay with friendly and helpful staff.

Wasn't overly impressed with the hotel. Felt run down. Had to really jam the handle to open the door to the room I was staying in. Was placed in a handicap room and the shower was extremely tight with very little space due to a poor setup in my opinion. Likely will not stay there again.
