The hidden gem of Middlebury's food offerings. Without a doubt the best sandwiches in town, as great for reasonably-priced large-group catering as well [lasagna, risotto and sandwich platters all excellent]. The fresh fish offerings are the best in town, and the specialty grocery products are all great.

This place makes incredible sandwiches and cannoli. No seating, though, so make sure the weather is nice for a picnic by the falls.

Middlebury has one "must have" foodie experience, and this is it. Costellos Market is a counter service seafood and italian ingredients food market which includes a gourmet soup and sandwich menu, a deli style display cooler full of Italian cuisine prepared dishes, and a full size chalkboard menu of off-the-boat seafood; everything from PEI mussels to swordfish. Some people may feel CM's prices are high, and they would be right. If you prefer dollar meats there's a Subway and a McDonalds in town, and you'll get dollar meats. Costellos offers only the finest ingredients in all their handmade ready-to-eat items. If you value what you pay for, there's no better sandwich shop in all of New England (confirmed by Yankee Magazine) than Costello's Market.

A wonderful fresh fish market! During my last stop they had a nice selection of fish and shellfish . I would call ahead if looking for something special or specific.

The best place in Middlebury to get food to go. Their deli sandwiches are delicious and on great fresh bread. The antipasto salad features a lot of excellent marinated items. I love the fish tacos. And the place is extremely clean!
