How Costa Azul came to be.

Our family is originally from Northern California, where we grew up working in the fields and orchards. Family plays a very important role in our lives, and meal times were one of the things we looked forward to everyday. We had the opportunity to work with the freshest ingredients and spent time together preparing the meals

At that point we realized that we could reach a lot more people if we opened our own restaurant, doing what we do best! Business opportunities in California were hard to come by due to a large population, a lot of competition, and a higher cost for operations.

So we began our search to find the perfect location for new business venture, where we could meet new people, share our culture, and provide for our growing families.

Huron, Ohio is a beautiful town with great family values and wonderful views of Lake Erie. So seven years ago we began the process of starting our restaurant and it was warmly welcomed by the community.

We have had a very successful start and you are part of that success, for being here and sharing in what we are truly passionate about. Being so far away from most of our extended family has been difficult, but the relationships we have developed here in Ohio have made us feel more at home.
