Sometimes referred to as a slipped disc or a ruptured disc, a herniated disc occurs when some of the softer ""jelly"" pushes out through a tear in the tougher exterior of the vertebrae. This can irritate nearby nerves and result in pain, numbness or weakness in an arm or leg.

Chiropractic adjustments relieve pressure on the nervous system and induces the body to release anti-inflammatory substance, which reduces inflammation and alleviates the pain associated with a herniated disc. If you feel you may suffer from a herniated disc, call our office right away to schedule an appointment with the doctor.
