Celebrate and support the vital work of Lucy Daniels Center at our biggest fundraising event of the year. All proceeds fund direct emotional and mental health services for children birth to 12 years old, the time of life when the most effective interventions are possible.
Now in its fourth year, the Cooking for a Classic chefs competition, a fundraiser for The Lucy Daniels Center, has announced its lineup for 2020. Eight celebrated chefs will go head to head in a tournament-style event over seven nights in order to claim the top prize: a 2002 Chevrolet Corvette convertible.
The chef lineup for Cooking for a Classic 2020 is as follows:
Monday, Feb. 24
Eli Rodriguez of so•ca vs. Kevin Smith of 41Hundred at the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel
Tuesday, Feb. 25
Blake Gotliffe of Under the Oak Restaurant vs. Kyle Teears of Whiskey Kitchen
Wednesday, Feb. 26
Kyle Fletcher of Wye Hill vs. Scott Ruzicka of Mia Francesca
Thursday, Feb. 27
Andres Kaifer of Vidrio vs. Carey Ball of STIR
Each chef will prepare three courses with at least one secret ingredient in each dish. Attendees and guest judges will decide which chef will advance in the competition. The winners from round one will face off in the semifinals on March 4 and 5, and the competition will culminate with the grand finale on March 11. All competitions will be held at 1705 East, Rocky Top Catering’s premier event venue located at 1705 East Millbrook Road in Raleigh.
Tickets start at $75 for the First Round, $100 for the Second Round, and $125 for the Finale. Premium tables, table sponsorships and corporate sponsorships are also available.
