  Trendy and full of veggie and vegan options. But nothing is super tasty, its kinda plain at best. Definitely a local main stay, but it's starting feel like it's trending toward dinner quality. Just with more dietary options and beer.

  This is such a neat place to go on the east side. They have great local/made bought food and the coffee is just heavenly. It draws an eclectic crowd, for sure - you won't ever be bored - enjoying your coffee.

  Myself and two companions (daughter & friend) stopped in last Saturday morning for breakfast, as we were in Milwaukee for the Jack White show the night before. The place was packed, and people were waiting outside. We took that as a good sign that the food must be worth the hype (and the wait!). That was definitely the case! We waited about 1/2 hr to be seated. My daughter and I ordered the Frankie Scramble, which was hands-down the best vegan breakfast I've had out or at home, frankly! Can't wait to visit again when my husband & I come up to listen to Jordan Peterson in June. WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!

  Duck poutine: I was disappointed. I thought it lacked flavor. My husband really enjoyed it. The desserts were the good stuff, key lime and banana cream pie were heavenly, cinnamon roll was pretty good. The Mac and cheese was delicious. They put it in the oven after sprinkling more cheese on top. What's not to like about that? Good hamburger, homemade thousand island, fresh fries but a little on the overcooked side for me though others will dig that, I'm sure.

  This place is usually busy and for good reason. Their menu offers delicious food for everyone, omnivores and plant based eaters alike. The service is always prompt and responsive, I've never felt ignored when going here. The food here is always hearty, filling and flavorful.
  
  The biggest downside to eating here is the wait to be seated. There isn't a holding area for people waiting to be seated and it can be an inconvenience during frigid winters.

  The food was great. A little on the pricey side but we'll worth what you get. I strongly recommend for gluten free sandwiches! I loved the classic cheesy roast beef and tomato soup. My fiancé loved the colonel comet chicken sandwich. Seriously good and in a really nice atmosphere!

  Wonderful spot near so much activity. Very quick turnaround from attentive and friendly staff. Gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options are much appreciated. Had the mac'n'cheese with bell peppers. One of the best I've ever had!

  Food is always a delightful surprise. In the past few days I've returned a few times to enjoy the vegan chili, the tomato grill cheese, tomato soup, key lime pie, the coconut pie and the lime coconut combo pie. All excellent! The staff are friendly and welcoming. Great little eatery in a classy lakeside city. Contemporary spins on classics.

  Two words: Bacon Pancakes! So good. Their menu has a lot of options that cater to both vegan/vegetarian and carnivorous folks. The cupcake and pie option is wonderful, and they are so welcoming. Loved getting a chance to go there!

  Great service, ok food to go.
  
  We like to order drinks then food to go at the bar. Service was great, but the food wasn't anything special. The meatloaf and mashed potato were good, but the chicken dumpling soup had 2 nickel size dumplings in the whole cup, and the mac n cheese was missing the broiled cheese.

  This place was awesome! We stumbled upon it and everything we ordered was delicious. The waitress was helpful when ordering and attentive​ with service. The atmosphere was fun and laid back. I would recommend this place to others and would love to go back.

  Great food, lively atmosphere and friendly service. Limited space but it's worth visiting this place. Food was of high quality and very delicious. Great selection of wines and beers. We enjoyed out time spent here.

  Great food, comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff. The bar has a good selection of beers and drinks. Try to attend one of their "Beer School" sessions. It's a good time. I'm a big fan of their brunch. The only problem is so is everyone else! It can be a busy place most of the time, and parking for any place in that area is a rough scene. But I wouldn't hold it against Comet, they are busy for good reason. And if you can find parking with in walking distance, it's totally worth the hike.

  I've been to Comet probably 15+ times in the years I was living in Milwaukee. It was one of my go-to places to bring family when they visited from out of town because it has such a great selection of food and an atmosphere that really demonstrates the unique attitude of Milwaukee. During busy times, you'll be waiting for a seat, but in the off-hours it's easy seating. There are a ton of vegetarian and vegan options, and they aren't just sad salads. Comet really has something for everyone, with huge portions and friendly waitstaff. Plus they changed their menu in February 2017 (photo attached) and it's better than ever!

  Walnut burger is absolutely out of this world. Vegan rib sandwich was awesome too. 10/10 would eat again

  Great experience here. Fresh and oh soo-good. Worth the wait. Extremely busy, but I you can always be seated. Services are super. Kudos to the staffs for their patience with me. Will be back for my next gig..

  Super tasty food (bacon cakes, compact turkey dinner, everything!) in a small and fun place. Part of the trio including Honeypie and Palomino, the same great pies and cupcakes are available for after meal snacking. Good beer selection.

  This place was delicious, we came here on a Sunday night. It was not super busy but had a welcoming home feel to it. They have amazing specials. 2.50$ for a beer on Sunday. any order of a beer prompts a free place of bacon. BACON! i love this place. the food was good. service was a bit slow but not bad. I would come back.

  Highly recommend. Great vegan options! Had the vegan gyro, it was really good. My friend had the apple walnut burger (vegan option) and it was amazing (I tasted it). Staff was friendly and had great service. They have vegan pie and cupcake options! We are planning another trip out to come eat here. Saw some non vegan food and it looked amazing. It's very hard to eat out at new places, out of town, for vegans and get extraordinary options. Thank you!
