In my opinion the food is "average" but the fast service and friendly staff bump them up a star. Plus the prices were quite reasonable especially considering the "resort town" location. The pancake wasn't quite fork-tender and the breakfast sandwich wasn't exceptional, but the egg was cooked perfectly over-medium and the coffee was good (and I'm very picky about my coffee). I also was the very last customer of the day and they didn't rush me - Lucinda even offered me some extra coffee to go since they had extra. Recommended!

Nice quaint restaurant that is good for breakfast, a quick cup of coffee to go, or lunch. The food was very good and even had the option for gluten free toast and rice milk in my Latte. The didn’t have any dairy free choices for cheese. The wait was short but this it was an off season Saturday that we went. Nice fine tucked away off Main Street.

We put our name down and we're told it would be about 30 minutes. After waiting for 45 minutes with our toddler and seeing many seated ahead of us, my husband went in to check where we were on the list. At that point, the host actually sat a walk in party of the same size immediately. "Oh I can just sit you right now," the host told the walk in. It was so disappointing to have this happen, especially in front of a little girl who had been so patiently waiting her turn. Food is probably good here but we'll never know.

This place has amazing food! I would recommend it to everyone! I had the corned beef hash omelette and it was HUGE! And they smoke the corned beef in house so it was the best I have ever had! My husband had a pancake that was huge as well. It was 12 inches! I can't recommend this place enough!

Great breakfast spot. It is tucked behind Eric's on main street. Pancakes we're huge and delicious. Omelette was good. Corned beef hash made my father in law happy. Can get busy, so get there early.

A great place for breakfast. The pancakes and latte are amazing. I ordered one pancake and it was as big as the plate. We really liked our server Dan-O-Mite. He was super awesome and provided excellent service. It was really busy and he kept up very well with all the guests.

I wish I could write a review about our first visit but were never seated. After waiting 30+ minutes to be seated, I checked with the hostess about how long will we would be seated she told us we would be next. Then we watched 2 or parties get seated before us. That is when we have up. If your hostess speaks English with a heavy accent, beware. You may not be seated.

When I saw the size of their menu (dozens of items) I was worried that there was too much variety for anything to be good, but the hash was smoky and AMAZING--maybe the best I've ever had! We also ordered the trout and it was exceptional! Hash browns were cooked too much for my taste, but that's just a matter of preference. Would definitely come back!

Had the corned beef hash. It's super chunky and different from the normal. It was good. My husband wouldn't stop eating it off my plate and he doesn't normally like it. The hazelnut coffee was the flavor of the day and had to be the best flavored coffee black that I've ever had. They're normally so weak but this one had lots of hazelnut flavor.
It was a good stop. Service was slow at first but the food came out fast.

I have previously eaten at Columbine Cafe on multiple occasions. In most instances it is understood that we have to wait to be seated because of its popularity and good food. This morning we decided to go and put our name on a list for a table. We had waited patiently for 40 minutes at this point. We were forgotten and tables were sat with others who arrived after us. We back inside and saw that our name was crossed off. The hostess stated that she would tell the other host that we were next on the list to be seated and put our name back on the list. We waited patiently with a four year old for another 30 minutes for a table to be free. We were again forgotten after putting out our name on the list again. The table was sat with others who arrived after putting our name on the list for a second time. We calmly confronted the host and explained that we we have been waiting for over an hour and was skipped. The host refused to acknowledge and investigate his error. At that point we left the restaurant. It was disappointing. We are not sure if we will ever return.

I found this place by googling "best breakfast in Breckenridge" and was not disappointed whatsoever. The food was prepared quick despite a full restaurant. When the bartender brought my food I was immediately stoked on the portion. I had no idea I'd be eating some of if not the best bacon of my life. Really good light fluffy pancakes. I've lived here in Breck for a while and I'm mad I haven't been coming here longer. So dank. O and without question they gave me a locals discount? 5*
