Very disappointed with Colgate! Our son not able to register for even core classes because classes filled up within few hours of registration opening! Colgate administration is not helpful at all! This happened last semester and happened again this semester! Paying $66000 plus and struggling to even register for core classes!

If you're a kid born to two wealthy parents who has no mental illness and is already a social butterfly, this school is for you. If not, then you'll get left behind. Colgate has state of the art academics, aesthetics, and food, but the counseling center is overbooked and understaffed. The way the administration treats mentally ill students is inhumane. Colgate puts its US News standing ahead of the well-being of its most vulnerable students. I ended up transferring to a school that treats people like me humanely.

I couldn't have been happier attending this school. Tremendous curriculum, teachers, facilities, alumni networking, and extracurriculars. Make sure to check out the Colgate Resolutions!

I graduated in '09. Wonderful, rigorous education. Freshman year will be a wakeup call (in a good way) for many. Students are nice, jolly, and sharp as hell. Small classes. Professors are invested into your education. Exactly what I was looking for in a college. Cold in winter, but it makes it kind of fun. Especially if you're like me and coming from a year-around warm climate like Southern California. Wouldn't change a thing!

A sleeper education and experience. The people, activities and education were all good but it was the combination the created a foundation for the rest of my life. Just as alumni from 40-50 years prior to my class told us at reunion when we were finishing our freshman year (advice we didn’t appreciate at the time), Colgate lays out a way of thinking more than a particular set of disciplinary skills.

Teaching was superior (in 80-90 of courses) than my years at Harvard, something I hear from other grads. But it was the conversations, arguments and debates with classmates from diverse backgrounds that stick with you. Yes, this is a student body that is largely upper middle class and dominated from Northeast states, but what these students shared (at least during my time there, graduating in 1976) was independence, curiosity and intellectual abilities (again, not everyone and as appropriate for 18-22 year olds).

Finally, as with every experience, you get out of it what you put not it. I’ve never found a college graduate who didn’t regret not taking advantage of more opportunities. Colgate has more opportunities than anyone can capture, and way more today than when I attended.

Never been, hoping to go but, from what I looked up it's incredible and the surrounding area is beautiful. I'm probably still dreaming but, it is really pretty! Hoping my savings don't fail me nor my grades!

I called about admissions but I guess I called another extension and the switchboard operator women was so so rude. She sounded almost angry. It makes me not even want to apply if that's how she acts, imagine everyone else.

Had a great experience here. You are not taught by graduate students but by full professors who are tops in their fields.

My cousin went here and I visited it a couple of times. The campus is definitely beautiful. The only thing is that the location is pretty rural, and my cell phone never got any signal in here.
