My sales person Steve Harper was very helpful and sincere through the whole process and after delivery Would highly recommend.
In a nutshell, I got screwed royally. Older 4 cyl ecotech engine threw its timing chain. Chevrolet refused to cover because I was less than 4% over their extended warranty for this item. Limit at 120,000 and I had 124,400. I told the dealership what the problem was but they insisted on charging $300 to tear into the engine to find out what the problem was. I was then given a choice of paying approx $2400 (a rather gross overcharge) to replace the timing chain, tensioner, and water pump and 'maybe' it would be good, or replace the motor for just over $10,000 - on a car with a retail value of $8500. I was told there was no way to check the compression on the engine until it was put back together. Of course, the first option didn't work. There is no compression on any cylinder. When I went to pay off what I owed Cole-Krum, the service manager said he had recommended strongly the engine replacement. Hogwash!! Sounds like he is more interested in covering up his incompetence. The Gen Mgr, Aarion Pearce, is obviously a good company man. He offered no willingness to help with Chevrolet. A word from a Gen Mgr of a group as large as Cole has no weight with Chevrolet. Right. As I told him, I must be a nobody that he could care less about making me happy.
I am done with GM. I am done with Chevrolet. And after buying at least 4 vehicles over the years from them, I am sure as _____ done with Cole Krum.
And yes, as the next line below indicates, please do publish my response.
Brad is awesome to deal with and everyone I've encountered is pleasant and helpful! Highly recommend Cole-Krum Chevy!
I was so impressed with Cole Krum Chevrolet. Aaron Pearce was incredible to work with and his staff made purchasing a vehicle FUN and simple for me. They considered my lifestyle (single, working mama of 3) and the fact that I live near Lansing was not an issue for them at all. I was able to view their inventory online, narrow down my choices, test drive several different vehicles, (which they brought right to me), and trusted the opinion of the staff 100%. Honestly, I was nervous about purchasing a new vehicle because of cost, time, and the process. They were patient with me each step of the way, worked with me, and listened to my needs. In addition, they have followed up with me since the purchase and the communication throughout was exceptional. I won't ever go anywhere else for a vehicle. Cole Krum Chevrolet gets my highest recommendation. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!
Was broke down 8 hrs from home on a Friday and still had time to look at and fix my truck. Extremely helpful and informative.
Owner is a jerk. You never know who has a pocket full of money ready to buy. I will NEVER buy anything from here.
The first thing I did was ask permission. I talked to a salesman for ten minutes about chevy bolts and volts after asking to plug in. He was very nice to talk to. I would not have used the charger without permission. I was definitely a potential customer who was treated like a thief for having the equivalent of a cup of coffee after asking if it would be okay to do so.
Took a 2015 Chevy Corvette in for warranty work, on the drive home the item I had fixed stooped working properly, called the dealership in order to get them to fix their mistake and was told the car is now out of warranty, this is two days later. Scam artist beware
2 keys should be issued with every car sold new or used. Disagreement settled diplomatically and satisfactorly by Adam Wiles. He is extremely professional, courteous, and understanding. Many thanks Adam. Nice working with you.
TERRIBLE GM CHEVY DEALERSHIP / COLE KRUM Schoolcraft MI
Purchased a used Camaro had a terrible experience, paid cash after the sale had to BEG and BEG to get things promised to me and still haven't received all my promised items, ( 7 days later) Chuck the salesman was a straight shooter, but the Sales manager Adam and General manager Aaron both do what they can to get the sale done and your money then there done with you,
BEWARE DON'T PURCHASE HERE NO SERVICE AFTER THE SALE
I basically have a car I can not drive Eng light is on now only after 2 days and it need repairs from a custom shop and they refuse to take it to get it fixed. I would recommend to drive a little farther south to a great dealer who will service you like Vetters in three rivers MI
Love looking at the inventory, but the website is so slow loading its horrible!
I recently traded in a vehicle and purchased a used vehicle at this dealership, and the buying experience was better than any other dealership I've been to. They are straightforward and honest, and their sales manager even sat down and went over the numbers with me, rather than disappearing into a soundproof room and throwing prices at me until something stuck as has happened at other dealerships I've been to. They earned my business for my current purchase, and I anticipate that they will earn my business in the future as well. Outstanding dealership, and worth your time and your business.
This is a dealership that's doing it right. I've purchased many vehicles in the past, and I have never had as positive of an experience as I had at this dealership. They were great to work with and got us an incredible deal on a Chevy Cruze. I can't give our sales person, Tracy, enough praise. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and we never once felt pressured from her. That won our business over other dealers in the Kalamazoo area. We'll be back when we need another vehicle, and we will definitely recommend this dealership! Thanks again for making this car buying experience so exciting, fun, and worry free!
I had a few questions about my car and the man who was doing my paperwork helped me understand the issues with my car! I got my car serviced (oil change, new engine filter, tire rotation, pressure check) in under 40 minutes. Very happy with the service! Thank you!!
