Great little free zoo to take the kids to. We try to make it over a couple times a year. They don't charge admission, but they do have a donation box to help offset some of the operating costs. They have done quite a few upgrades since our last visit. They really have the zoo looking nice. Not a huge place, but big enough to spend an hour or so walking around.

Nice little zoo with free admission. Donations are accepted to help keep the zoo in operation right at the entrance in a little lock box. for being a smaller place they have a few cool animals like bears and tigers. all the animals seem happy and healthy. Great place to bring the family.

This is a good place to spend all day. Pack your lunch and have a picnic in their picnic area. There are lots of photo opportunities for the kids. There is a splash park that is open in the summer. My only complaint is that there is no regular playground around the zoo.

This place is a part of my childhood, so I'm a little biased. However! When it comes to small, free zoos, it has never lost its charm. I took my wife there when we were visiting family and the selection of interesting and adorable animals to look at and get close to was extremely enjoyable. We had the chance to hear a presentation about the two young tigers they have, and the zoo keeper was friendly and interactive. Peacocks wander around the zoo freely, which is always fun to watch.

This is a very nice, kid friendly, amazing place. The animals are kind and gentle. A little bit dirty, but not too bad. The kids there aren't too bad either. The people don't really bother you and the workers are nice. I do recommend👍

This is an amazing small town zoo. You can get so close to the Tigers and they are constantly doing renovations. They are always adding new things. Super family friendly. Free of charge, but please donate.

Cohanzick zoo is a great free zoo located in the heart of Bridgeton's City Park.
While it is a small zoo, it is entirely free, and has a surprising variety of animals.
It's a great place to take the family for an afternoon, or to take a walk on your lunch break.

Also check out the events held at the zoo throughout the year.

A really cute free zoo. I go there often just to walk around. It's very shady and peaceful. Not to mention the great animals here. A lot of recent updates to the zoo look great.

Although this was a very small zoo, with few animals it was a very pleasant experience. It is a donation based zoo that seems to be undergoing renovations often. I loved the wooden walkways and the abundant bamboo for shade. There is an adjacent splash pad and a food truck parked along the river bank. You can really make a fun filled day out of going to this zoo.

FYI : if going to the splash pad there is a fee 3$ per person and everyone must have water shoes. Even the adults!

I've always enjoyed the zoo ever since I was a small child, it's not quite as big as it used to be but for a city zoo with free admission it has a lot to offer. They've been doing a lot of upgrades to it and though they have a small selection of animals they have a good variety. We miss the White Tiger but we love seeing two baby tigers now.

It's free! They're helping injured or otherwise displaced animals. There's a lot of shade on hot days. There's a splash park and mini golf for the kids across the parking lot. Both are inexpensive, so you can do a lot in one place.

Although, it is in the middle of a small town. The Cohanzick Zoo is one of the best, with a friendly staff willing to take the time to give aditional info. Such as; animal names and species origins. Its hard not to like the place. Where the Cape May and Philadelphia Zoos have more activities sadly. If you are looking for a historical look at what you could imagine would have been a Zoo experience. Many years ago, this is the place for you!!

This zoo is such a hidden gem! The workers here take great care and pride in the animals. Since discovering this place they continue to make improvements and upgrades. Need to get your kids out of the house and stretch their legs for a bit but you don't want to drive all the way to Cape May or Philly, and you don't have that kind of time. Then you need to check this secret out!

Great place to bring kids or just have a nice walk with your boyfriend/ girlfriend like I did. They do need more donations though. One of the staff members told me the zoos plan and I am all for it! Every little cent helps :)

It's a good place but it needs more animals. Some of the information about the animals wasn't there.

Under rated little zoo. So much nicer now that the water is back in the zoo. Sad to see that the tiger has passed, but the park remains great, and especially good for it price... Free
