Nice setting for a wedding. Step son got married there and they do seem to be setup quite nicely for weddings. Lots of ambiance, very quaint. Food was very good, servers were exceptional; polite and plentiful.
Ribeye s were pretty good. Best ones we have found that had seasoning on them. The place was beautiful all decorated for Christmas. Was a little pricey but it's worth it if the food is good.
Very nice cabins, venue and chapel. Great for taking pictures at with all the holiday decor. Food was okay, not impressed much.
The property itself is beautiful. The food is excellent. The servers leave much to be desired. The fact that you don't get a designated server for the duration of your meal means that "food auctioning" is standard practice here. The person bringing your food to the table has no clue who ordered it, so you have to answer the "Who had the _____?" question over and over. Most upscale restaurants would fire a server who did this. You are expected to know your table, know your seats, and who ordered what. Another byproduct of this free-for-all server method is that the servers are kind of rude and impersonal, and they don't really seem to care whether your order is even correct or not.
I honestly couldn't tell you why The Depot runs things this way, but I think they really could do better. Especially since this is one of the most popular restaurants in the Dobson area.
On a positive note, the food has always been great. With regard to fried food, they really know their batters. Even when frying wet foods like the banana peppers and mushrooms, they get it right. Their perfectly crispy, and the batter sticks the way it should instead of falling apart in a soggy mess.
My family went there for their Thanksgiving dinner. They advertised they were open until 4pm. We arrived at 2 pm and were surprised at how few people were there. While waiting for a table, one of the hosts said they hadn't been that busy today. We were seated and waited forever to be waited on. We were ready to place our order, not just our drink order but the waitress said no she had to get our drinks first. We convinced her to take our order finally. Another waitress brought drinks to all but my mother in law and the waitress looked at her and said 'you didn't want a drink right?' No! She had plainly ordered water to drink. When our food FINALLY arrived, mine was barely warm. My father in law and I were both shorted on our order and the waitress didn't even acknowledge it! When we asked for the rest of our order, she said' oh, we're out of that. ' They were out of most of the vegetables and 2 of the 4 meats when we placed our order. We ordered another side and when the waitress brought that out, she said they had the deviled eggs we'd ordered when she took our order to the back. Really??? 4 of our party ordered the turkey and dressing but there wasn't a full serving of dressing between us. We barely got a tablespoonful of dressing each. The waitress asked when we placed our order what kind of bread we wanted, there were 2 choices listed. My mother ordered the cornbread and the waitress said oh we're out of that. Why ask when there's only one kind left?? The manager came out as we were finishing and asked if event was alright. We told her what happened and she asked if she could bring us more dressing? Too late then! Skimpy portions and horrible service and still charged full price. Left hungry. Will NOT be back!!!! Only giving 1 star because I can't give no stars.
The atmosphere, service and quality of food were all OUTSTANDING! I can't wait to go back.
Great Meal! Great Service! Always a good time! Be a little early shorter waiting times!
One of the best steak house I have been to. Do not let the crowd deter you the tables turn quickly. We were in in 15 minutes on Saturday night.
Cody Creek and staff made my daughters wedding a spectacular event! I am so pleased with their staff and arrangements and was well worth every penny that her father and I spent. Everything from the rehearsal dinner to the reception was handled in a professional and caring manner. The all inclusive details that Cody Creek offers made the flow of the wedding easy and stress free. I highly recommend, 5 stars all the way!
Excellent Service. Great Food. Perfect "laid back" atmosphere. Reasonably priced but expensive. Very Clean. Beautiful location surrounded by structures for perfect picture taking. Usually a wait but worth it. Usually crowded but plenty of room. Rustic cabin style restaurant. Just a great spot to go ever so often.
Well in order for someone like myself (brown skin) i am not welcomed. Or shall i say i dont feel welcomed. I feel somewhat threatened if i go in here unless im with a few of my (white) friends. Even then i dont get great service. This place has always been this way and has been looked over about this issue for years.. So i give them a bad review The day im able to walk in and not be stared down by staff and customers will be the day i say something nice about the place. Id love to have my wedding here but i was given a totally different price than my friend who is white that called for the same service after i had given my name and thet realized that i wasnt of their kind. Effff this place
Excellent had to wait for a little over an hour but well worth the wait
This is a neat place, with an indoor waterfall/nature scene and good food. This place is normally packed out, but they handle crowds and parties well. If you have to wait for a table, they give you a voucher for free ice cream at their general store. But beware, there is absolutely no cellphone service inside of the building.
This place has great food and a very cozy atmosphere. We were here for a party and it was awesome!
It's a long drive to the middle of nowhere, but totally worth it. The building is beautiful, the atmosphere was upscale but comfortable. The food is a little pricey comparatively but again, totally worth it. The service was excellent and I absolutely can't wait to go again.
