Cocoa Butter Night is a monthly showcase featuring works from artists of color. As the demographic of Harlem changes, we continue to appreciate urban art by bringing together talented artists and cultivating good vibes in the heart of Harlem. With the Studio Museum closed and the National Black Theater soon to be closing; both for renovations until 2021, Cocoa Butter Night has become a space to celebrate canvas backed brown faces, cocoa butter smooth beats and the African diaspora. As we grow, we look forward to partnering with schools to make art related programs more accessible to the next generation of artists.
