The food was excellent. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the dinner room. The TVs are in the bar area and are not too loud to ruin a lovely dinner and conversation. Looking forward to going back and trying another special. I had the chicken and biscuits which was very good

We stayed at the Coach Stop this past weekend so we could attend Dickens Christmas in the town of Wellsboro. I will not stay here again. Check-in took at least a half hour, no one was at the desk and personnel would walk by but not ask if we were being taken care of. Finally had to say something and then the girl who checked us in did not know what she was doing. When I made the reservation back in July there was a "preferences" box on the website so I wrote in the box that we would like a room farthest from the kitchen; our room was right above the kitchen. While the room was clean, it was very outdated. No remote control for the TV, the dresser drawers fall apart when you pull them out, music from a radio in the early morning hours, sounded like the radio was right in our room but was not, luke warm water that trickled out of the shower that did not have a shower head and after you washed your hair it felt like you had sludge in it BUT the worst was little to no heat in the room even with the thermostat turned up to 5 (the highest setting). When we went to bed we had some heat (the baseboards are very noisy) but when we woke up in the morning the room was very cold and no matter what we tried we could not get the heat to come on. Unfortunately there was no one at the front desk to report it to so we showered and dressed in a very cold room. Now we go to breakfast and what a fiasco that was. The dinning room was cold, most of the breakfast was cold, the coffee was warm not hot and the waitress kept forgetting things including my uncle's entire breakfast. She admitted she never waitressed before. I did mention to her that we had no heat in the room and would not be staying Saturday night (which was paid for) but all she said was "oh", not "I'll let the owner know" or anything like that. She was so overwhelmed from serving breakfast!!
This was a very popular weekend in that area and from what I understand almost all of the rooms were booked at the Coach Stop. It is also newly reopened so you would think the owner would do everything possible to make a good first impression for his patrons??!!
The only good thing I can say is that the bartender working on Friday night was very friendly and did a great job. He was by himself taking/making drink orders and also taking and serving the food orders.

How dare you accuse me of making false accusations. First, we were not angry that we could not cancel Saturday night. Second of all, there was little to no heat in our room when we woke up Saturday morning and it did not get warmer even when we turned the thermostat up to 5! It was cold in that room from the time we got up to the time we left it which was approximately an 2 hours. Breakfast was cold and service was terrible, had you been there you would have known that and she most definitely forgot my uncle's breakfast. You make no mention of the inefficient shower/water pressure/temperature or that our room was directly over the kitchen even after we asked for it not to be. Phone # on the front doormaybe you should post that at the desk or better yet on the printed receipt and how were we to know someone was in the office or even where the office is located. But again, check-in took over a 1/2 hour and she did not know what she was doing and twice she had to go find you and ask for help.
I do not lie and I write reviews, both good and bad, based on the
    experience(s) I had.

And which exactly is the busiest weekend of the yearthe Dickens weekend or the one you said on a negative post from a month ago?! Stop making excuses and do what is necessary to make this a nice place to stay or else get out of the business!

We booked a two night stay in the rooms behind the Inn. When we woke up in the morning to shower the water was black. Not just a little black, really black. We tried to run the water for a while and did not help. Tried to call the front desk and could not reach anyone. Door was locked to front desk. Started trying to call at 7 a.m. we went to breakfast and stopped back at 9 a.m. still no one there. I left two voicemails also. Came back after ten and owner was there. I of course was very upset because this was a get away for my husband's birthday. The owner I would say was not very empathetic. Actually said what do you want me to do? She suggested putting us in a room in main lodge. We moved to the new room very small. The shower was terrible with a water saver on it that felt like someone was throwing needles at me. I was just really upset that we could not get in touch with anyone with our problem. The owner even argued with me about when she was at the front desk. I was not happy with the price of our stay because it was not worth it at all.

Great place to turn around and go elsewhere. Out of everything at prime dinner time. Salad bar is NOT best anywhere. Been waiting for dinner for over 40 minutes! Will update when and if food arrives. Will have to be miraculous steak for us to return!

This was our first visit to the Coach. We chose to stay here based on price and location. The majority of places for the same price were campground cabins where we had to supply our own linens. Since we were coming in on a motorcycle in the rain, it wasn't a good option or ideal for us. We chose to stay someplace nicer where we didn't have to worry about it.

This is on the outskirts of Wellsboro on route 6. The hotel is under new ownership and is being renovated. The room/bathroom (108) were clean. It had a king bed, sitting area, mini fridge (empty), and a microwave. The bathroom offered a long hot shower. (Tip: shower curtain end to end to avoid wet floor.) Toilet ran consistently, but we just cracked the door to muffle it. It's a historic building. We did not expect it to be perfect. The room was over the tavern which stayed open late until 12:30. It was a little rough with the music, but slept great until the route 6 truck traffic around 6 am. (Tip: pay extra for a room with 2 beds to avoid being on the front side of the building.)

Newly refurbished bar and restaurant looked great, although not 100% yet. We ate at the bar. Our bartender Jenna was very nice and served us well. Wings, Prime Rib, full rack of ribs, soup/salad bar, and 6 beers ran us $82 without tip. Well worth it!

The new owners, Mike and Karen, mapped out a great motorcycle route for us to enjoy the canyon and a twisty ride. We look forward to seeing them again for our stay in the fall!

This place is under new managment and has only been open for 3 weeks. This was our first visit. With that said, they did a lovely job of remodeling the bar and dinning room area! 3 of us ordered burgers and they were flavorful, juicy and cooked exactly as we each ordered. The homemade chips were some of the best I have had--crispy without being grease soaked. The staff/owners were eager to please and invited feedback! We are very particular about our orders (and what we will eat) and they met our expectations. We look foward to going back and are hopeful that it will be the kind of place we will want to be regulars at.

Nice little motel tucked into some great scenery. It is very clean, and appears to have been recently renovated. They also have free WiFi with the stay, which is nice for those who do not have cell reception here.

The employees are very nice and helpful. I stayed here for several weeks on a job. i originally stayed in the cottage which i really wouldn't recommend due to lack of parking and privacy. It also really needs updated and fixed up some. The hotel is clean and would be perfect for someone staying long term if needed. Also stayed in the ranch house and it was very nice.
