We lived here for 4 years, during which management/ownership changed at least once. We moved out at the end of August. The current "management" is trying to bill us over $350, claiming that we painted the counters in the kitchen. We never painted the counters in the kitchen. "Management" says we didn't state on the move-in checklist that the counters were painted. Why on earth would we have notated this? Moving in as brand new tenants, how could we have possibly known that they weren't supposed to be painted, in order to make a special notation of it? I find it absolutely outrageous that they want to bill us for shortcomings of previous management (since they were obviously renting out apartments that weren't up to whatever standard was supposedly in place). Four years we rented here, just to be dealing with this nonsense now. Avoid this place at all costs, it just isn't worth it. If you do decide to rent here (which you shouldn't), take lots of photos and video of the apartment as soon as you get the keys. (But again, you should really just avoid this place completely. I sure wish we had.) They won't deal with drug dealers trespassing on the property at night, they won't do any maintenance unless it's to the exterior of the buildings, they ignore the policies listed on the site. The amenities listed are a joke. Smoke from your chain-smoking neighbors will permeate throughout your entire apartment. Save yourself the headache.

Smokers Paradise: Want to smoke in your apartment? Go right ahead. They have no restrictions on smoking in this community nor any restrictions on whom the smoke affects. The maintenance man is great and does what he can with what his has to work with, but he has a lot of area to cover. These are older apartments and well, you can't polish a turd. All-in-all, it's not a bad place for the price, but be prepared to deal with a trash compactor that is always broken, outside remodeling is only partially done, people coming and going at all hours of the night all with loud trucks and/or loud music. We've only been here 6 months; thankfully only 6 more months to go.

The location, the apartment interiors, and maintenance are great. But they are in the process of "improving" our buildings -- which used to be so cute! -- with cheap-looking siding and an inexplicable color palette of brown and yellow.

"Luxury apartments"is a big joke outdated appliances, obvious water damage and mold. I had a neighbor move into a different unit because of black mold and when i called asking about it they said it was harmless and to open my bedroom window after showering even though my whole apartment smells moldy when I come home. I also Had my car broken into. Plus some homeless person was living in a vacant apartment they left unlocked with power on. The parking lot is full of potholes and they make a feeble attempt to fix them. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing with garbage all over on the side of the road. It is really embarrassing to invite people over and they drive by that! Its probably contributing to the pest problem that It among other tentants have experience here. Management changes every year what does that tell you. I never did receive a new key for the "gym/ pool restroom" when they change the locks and didn't inform anybody. I called multiple times only to get excuses. Its a shame I used to really like it here , now I look forward to moving out.

I recently moved from NY and I'm loving it here at The Club at Lake Jackson. The apartment itself is really nice, very spacious. The closet space and the balcony are my favorite. The maintenance guys are awesome, they come within minutes and are really polite and they have a great park inside with a great running track. I couldn't find anything to complain about even if I tired. =)

I have lived here for about five years and I think the area is great. Management changed recently, but they are still very friendly! I have never had an issue with maitenance. Power is cheap and the rent is what I can afford. I love the park next door. I plan on staying longer.
