Capturing a few of the tulips and daffodils coming into bloom. (Sorry for all the movement) This time of year is always exciting on Violet & Mae Flower Farm. They will be available later this week at Rusty Petunias @rustypetuniasmarketplace in downtown Alpena. I’ll be running a special later this week so be sure to check back and I’ll let you know when they are delivered . And you might want to leave a comment-never know when the next drawing will be.
One more business note. A big Thank You to all that have Bouquet Subscriptions! The Season is just starting with the first pickup at Rusty Petunias. Woohoo!

Cooler is stocked again at Rusty Petunias! Beautiful Peonies, Tulips and other gorgeous flower arrangements. Potted succulents in the most adorable containers. In love with new stock of air plants, sweet little wooden blocks to hold them.

🌷BOUQUET SUBSCRIPTION Subscibers - We are ALMOST there! So I wanted to keep everyone up to date on the "how to" of the bouquet subscriptions. (I can not thank everyone enough for signing up!)
This is how it will work:
I have everyone's email, once I see there will be enough flowers to make bouquets I will shoot you an email to let you know they are available. The first pickup will be on a Tuesday and every Tuesday for a total of 4 bouquets.
For instance: May 14th, 21st, 28th and June 4th.
and I feel like next week is going to be the start. But I will let everyone know for sure. (This is the hardest part - guessing when they will be ready.)
The pickup DAY will be on a TUESDAY.
I will bundle them and put them in a CLEAR plastic sleeve in water in the cooler at Rusty Petunias on Chisholm Street.
Your name will not be on them.
The Staff at Rusty is aware of your prepaid subscription and I will give them a list of everyone that has subscribed.
If you forget to pick them up - please pick them up the next day. I will be collecting the bucket they are in and refilling it for the next weeks bouquets.
Rusty Petunia is open from 10:00 am to 6 pm. So it's a bonus that you have all day to pick them up. Yay!
Tips: The best way to keep your flowers looking beautiful is
1. keep them in a cool place and out of direct sun 2. change the water every day or every other day 3. add the packet of floral food I put with the flowers
After you pick up the flowers Please be sure to put them in water as soon as you can and not leave them in your car.

🌼 Five dollar bouquets! 🌼 These are cut at ‘gooseneck’ stage to give you the longest vase life. I’ve placed some that are open next to the unopened ones so you can see what they look like. This is a mixed bouquet so it will be a surprise of the color when they open!
