Front desk staff were friendly and positive. Room was average (dated, less than average lighting, standard size). Our heater had minimal adjustment (heater fan speed was loud/more loud/really loud). Security lights outside were minimal- so I suggest not leaving valuables in your vehicle if you have concerns. I’ll suspect that the breakfast is limited, but I will be happy to edit this review it is more than “danish-in-a-bag”, or cereals and toast (given the they are attached to a restaurant- I am hoping for more than my suspicions indicate). I would probably check out other hotels and just settle for this “conference center “ hotel if merely price or location is a prime motivation.

Update regarding breakfast: very good. Choice of plain scrambled eggs and ham/cheese and eggs. Excellent flavor. Home baked potatoes and sausage, both were very good. I would now revise my score to 3+.

Very nice staff, clean rooms, and quiet. Overall very pleased. Bit of an older building but I would still recommend staying there.

Pretty standard hotel experience. Prices are average, accomodations are pretty good. The rooms are pretty big. Being attached to a decent restaurant (Glacier Rock) is a big plus. Never had a problem after numerous stays. Perfect option if you're looking for something reasonably inexpensive but not half bad to stay in.

Stayed a week. The pool & Hot tub was very nice but should use bigger towels. They are almost as little as hand towels. Coffee in lobby is cold except for morning time. The breakfast is not so good, the food is dry and old. We went to store and got bagels and cream cheese and ate in room every morning.
After 4 nights in our room we had to switch rooms. I woke up to a bad smell of wire burning. It was bad!! I ran over to heater and shut it off. The plug in was all black and burnt. God was with us. The front desk was very kind and gave us another room so they could fix it. They did not help us switch rooms. That was a pain. I probably won't sleep tonight after that. But this is a good place to stay. Everyone is kind so far.

We received a gift certificate as a wedding present this past September but because of a clerical error on their part we were unable to use it. We love 3 hours away (family in the area) and the certificate was to be used with in 30 days off getting married. There was no chance of us using it so wet contacted the hotel with no help from the front desk but she did refer is to the manager. I left a message repeating my work phone number and cell phone number twice asking for a phone call and received nothing in return.. not a I'm sorry there's nothing we can do.. nothing. I wish I could review the hotel itself but because of the employees and poor management it will never happen. Check your dates and bills.. I hope they read this and realize it's in poor tastes not to contact future customers.

I typically go to the Clarion Hotel for Wing Wednesday deals. The food is always very good, however the size of the wings greatly varies between visits. Sometimes they are easily bite size and others times I have to cut them 1-2x to fit in my mouth. The flavor is always great, but I feel robbed some visits when I leave hungry because the boneless wings are small.

Good place to stay. The hot tub and steam room are great and the place is always clean. I grew up in Baraboo and stay here often when returning to visit.

Has a lot of rooms, a lot of amenities and the game room next to pool was kind of cool. Evidently when rooms are asked to be blocked off for wedding guests, they don't bother on putting people on the same floor like I have experienced numerous times before. Food is edible, but don't count on it being hot. Bacon is definitely the cheap microwaveable kind. They really could invest in having a proper breakfast eating area instead of an oversize hallway. Most of my family stayed at Best Western across the street because this hotel kept screwing up reservations.

Not fancy, but clean, quiet, and a good value. The breakfast area was too small and became write crowded. Convenient to Devil's Lake State Park. Would stay there again if in the same area.

The beds were very soft and very comfortable.. However the bathrooms needed something to be desired. we had to call maintenance twice to take care of the bathroom. The breakfast they offered were excellent! If we went to a local restaurant we would have paid at least $12.00 - $15.00 for a buffet as nice. There were eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits & gravy, not to mentions cereal toast and muffins plus juices and fruit plus more. The front desk people and the housekeepers were very helpful and nice. I will definitely stay there again next time I am in the area.

Clean and well kept, not enough food at the continental breakfast, they were running out of everything! That would be my only complaint!

Stayed one night while visiting in area. Rooms are dated, but clean - no refrigerator or microwave, which is unusual. We requested a king room, ended up with queens, they did make an adjustment on the price. We had 4 very young children next to us, all apparently 5 and under, including a baby. We heard crying, shouting and pounding on the locked door between our rooms. Other guests in the area also commented on the noise from the children. Unless the hotel didn't know how many were in that room, they should have been given a room at the end of a hallway, at the least. Breakfast was in a small area on the fifth floor, with few seats. Eggs and sausage were at least hot, biscuits were stale and gravy curdled. Would not stay here again.

One of the worst experiences we have had at a hotel-should not have been $100 a night!

Key cards never worked! Had to replace them twice.

Came into our room. Took towels off the towel bar to go to the pool and it fell off the wall! Went to front desk, they advised they would have someone in the next day. Maintenance just moved the towel bar up and then put tape over the holes! Drywall shavings not cleaned up, it was on the toilet and on the floor!

When we got into our room to see the towel bar fixed, we then got a note from cleaning staff that advised they could not clean our room due to personal items being on the bed. A pair of my jeans was literally half on the bed, it looks like all they did in the whole room was change the garbage bags.

Pool: hot tub was luke warm the first day (better the next so maybe maintenance issue). Anyone could get into the pool, key access was broken with wires sticking out.

Worst continental breakfast I have ever experienced! First morning, all of the food was cold, and the eggs were not cooked all of the way and slimy.

We will never get a room here again!

We have an awesome room , and the price was reasonable. The bed was really comfortable, as we're the pillows. I am very happy with this stay.

Nice hotel, my home away from home when I'm in Baraboo. Decent rates, nice place, good restaurant/bar with about 25 beers on tap.

Very clean and nice hotel near Devil's Lake with an extremely affordable price. Was also pet friendly so being able to bring our dogs was amazing. Suite included a jacuzzi and extra bed in the form of a pull out couch. Decent buffet breakfast in the morning.

My family was camping and a bad storm hit us hard. We called and had 2 rooms reserved. Checking in was easy. They provided a firefighter discount. Rooms were nice and had a refrigerator. Swimming pool/jacuzzi area was very nice and was open until 11pm. The whole place was very clean. I would definitely stay again if ever needed. I didn't use the bar but it looked nice too. Also, the complimentary breakfast was actually good and the lady cleaning up made sure I had enough to eat before putting everything away. All in all I had a great stay!
