  Civilization is a staple in the Tremont neighborhood. It's down to earth, serves good locally roasted coffee and bakery, and has been doing it for years. It has the feel of an old general store and is a great place to meet up for coffee or cosy up with a book. WiFi is also available for customers internet needs. A great local coffee shop.

  Really cool coffee shop with nice food options. Totally dig the atmosphere and beverage quality. However, what's with the generic to-go cups? Are they Styrofoam or something? I generally prefer to enjoy my coffee in a mug, but I'm so unsure about those to-go cups. I'd have more peace at mind if I was certain they were recyclable.

  Cute cozy coffee shop. Wonderful staff. Priced just a smidge high. No complaints tho. I would come in for a coffee any time.

  Relaxing and refreshing atmosphere. Seems like plenty of "regulars" come here and chat with each other, and the barista, which, to me, signals it's a nice place. As a first time visitor, it was nice to experience that friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Also, decent number of outlets if you are looking for a place to sip coffee and work on laptop or other electronic device.

  I liked this coffee shop. The area is nice and the coffee was good. Good spot to hole up and work for a while and quiet enough for a relaxing date.

  I live right around the block from Civilization, and I've been meaning to try it for awhile now. I went in for the first time with my cousin. She got a regular hot chocolate, and I got a white hot chocolate. They were both fantastic!!! We were so surprised at how good they were. The place was so warm and inviting. Just what you would want from a little coffee shop. The prices were great as well. This is definitely one of my new favorite places! :)
