  This is a nice place to go! The only thing I do not like is how the parking is set up and the stop signs. But great restaurants!

  Very nice quaint little bit of a rural area. Shops were nice restaurant was excellent. Not too overwhelming.

  Great mixed use development. Beautiful design with plenty of parking and some great restaurants. Not a lot of retail has taken hold here, but very promising.

  I parked in the garage. It was amazing. There were lines that suggested where one should place their vehicles in between! Mind you, not everyone abides by this suggestion, but it was cool they had them there just in case!

  Nice walking area around fountains, many shops have closed. Fitness gym, theatre and several restaurants/shops. PNC bank, Tradition brewery with many beers on tap. Street parking and free garage parking.

  We live here in the Park Place Apartments and the entire area it's so great! Everyrhing is within walking distance and well lit!

  Beautiful and nice area to shop watch a movie or grab a bite to eat or sit and enjoy a meal. In the evening it can be pretty romantic by the fountain.

  Great little area in the center of NN. Very nice to walk around at night year-round and the other community / patrons are usually all pretty friendly or at least will keep to themselves. The fountain area attracted a huge Pokémon Go player base when that mobile game came out last summer, thousands of pedestrians walking every night, but that game's pull has largely died down. They started to do weekly concerts here in the summer and will also put on some other events throughout the year, including up close and personal fireworks shows. While some of the shops may find it hard to stay in business, it's a great little area to come see a movie, get some food, or even come out just for drinks.

  This place is beautiful! We go to Holly Dazzle every year and it never disappoints. It is the best fire work display I have ever seen. Nice place to walk around and do some shopping.

  This is a special place. You can just sit and watch the rainbows from the fountain. This is a calming place, a place to just ponder the day. The crazy fish are pretty cool too.

  This is a very trendy and hip but also a relxed and tranquil place to visit in Newport News. The fountains are magnificent, plus as an adorable and useful added bonus, Newport News Parks & Recreation installed a small set of stairs along the wall of the fountain pond so small yellow ducklings (that would otherwise be trapped) can freely come and go.
  The restaurants at the City Center are top shelf, as well the shopping. Both exquisite. The Paragon movie theater which, in a cafe' similar setting, offers a nice menu and drink selection and is the only of its kind here. Free concerts over the summer, usually every weekend and some during the week. Great place for events such as weddings, reunions, etc. As I previously mentioned, even though the City Center is located directly in the middle of urban Newport News, there is still plenty of tranquility and relaxation there!! PARKING IN THE PARKING GARAGE IS FREE!!!
