Incredible. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Gets a bit loud when it's busy but that didn't bother me at all. Good sized portion, everything was hot and fresh and it all tasted great. Will return next time I'm in town!

My husband and I had lunch here. Wait staff was really attentive and knowledgeable- burgers were good- not the best- but good. Beer list was amazing and the beer I chose was top notch (sour cranberry). Was overpriced.

I had the Southern with Sweet Potato fries. Solid choice. Went great with a pint of Guiness. Friendly service. No dark beers on draft was a bummer on a chilly November night. Everything was just a couple bucks overpriced. Good place. I enjoyed it. Prob won't go back.

This is by far one of the best burgers I’ve had! I am truly amazed at how great the food was here. The my claim the beef is home grown and grass fed and I can honestly believe it. They have veggie options as well which my girlfriend seems to like! The beef has a nice taste to it, much different than your typical chain restaurant or grill. The fries here are also amazing as well. They have some sort of spice on them that makes them so flavorful. All in all, the only thing I would say could use help is how quick the process of coming in and sitting and eating takes. It took about 25-35 minutes for food to arrive but the place is busy! It’s honestly well worth the wait for a nice, quality burger. The service was also great. Our waiter was friendly and really knew his stuff about the menu. I love this place, beats Richmond bars any day.

Good burgers, good beers, good atmosphere. That's all there is to it. I really enjoyed eating at this Citizen Burger. They use local grass-fed beef and you can taste it. Tons of flavor. There are non-burger items on the menu too, but I'd recommend a burger. This location has outdoor seating as well, which would have been nice, but the last table was taken before my group could get it.

Cool atmosphere and tasty. Like the outdoor seating. Burger was good but it was a lot of bread. Thick bun. Solid beer menu. Would go back again

It was a decent hangout spot, not that really stood out as being memorable, except that I was there with my wife on a rainy night and I'd was just chill.
The service was good and not too long a wait for food but they were at 30% occupancy and it was raining outside. Nice nice and atmosphere would love to visit again though.

Incredibly tender and well prepared beef. The buns are light yet strong enough to support the burger without becoming soggy. There's a huge selection of condiments and toppings for the make your own Burger, as well as house combinations that are incredible. Their beer selection is well balanced against their food offering, with a decent spectrum to fit any taste.

Inside, nice retro feel. Great bar. Staff helpful and very knowledgeable of all the beers. To die for salads and burgers. Outside, right in the middle of great people watching. Wonderful time.

I came here for a late Sunday lunch, and I was very impressed! I typically don't like just going out for a burger, but this place made burgers much more interesting. Their fries honestly make the meal. We ordered sweet potato fries as an appetizer and had the regular fries with our burgers, and both were cooked perfectly. I also really enjoyed the delicious local malt vinegar for the fries. The burger was cooked well, although I've had better. The best part of the burger was the black onion that came on it. For the onion lovers out there, you get a whole slice of a blackened onion. While this may not be for everyone, since I'm always wishing got more onions, this made me very happy. Definitely a place to check out.

A fantastic experience. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the service being great goes without saying. I had to try the Citizen burger seeing as it was my first time, and it was pretty good!
Though for me, where this place stands out is the atmosphere inside, and the incredible craft beer selection. An amazing dining experience without a crazy price.

Amazing burgers with a plethora of customizations. Decent beer selection, attentive staff. A bit pricey and the weekend waits can be super long though. Great for a weekday dinner or lunch anytime.

Delicious place for an upscale burger. Not for you if you're looking for a cheap burger. Definitely worth the price. Wait staff was pleasant and the food (especially the fries) were cooked to perfection.

Incredible handmade veggie burgers, my husband who is not vegetarian was more than pleased with his burger, too. Prices were a little high for what we got, and the wait was long. Overall we enjoyed our visit and will gladly return.

Loved the place. Had the vegetarian burger and it was as good as any I have had. The ambience and the crowd are pretty good too. Busy place so you may have to wait but I am sure it's going to be worth it. Must try!
