LOVE Chompie’s, but this location is awful. The cooler for pastries needs to be cleaned or replaced. Ordering bakery items from here is a waste of money, which is sad because Chompie’s has delicious deserts! The pastry items are stored in the same cooler as cream cheese, which isn’t done at the other stores. I’m sure the lunch business is booming, but invest in updating this location, for the sake of your patrons.

I live in Tempe, but I frequent the Chandler location because the atmosphere is similar to Paradise Valley. The atmosphere, quality, and freshness is much better at the other locations.

Fantastic establishment. Manager Brian was very helpful after a mix up with a take-out order. Took ownership and pride in the way he addressed customer concerns. The food was absolutely delicious. First time dining but new loyal customer :)

I'm in and out of town several times a year visiting family who lives here. I can't come to town without stopping at Chompies, even if it's a short visit. I 'm a vegetarian and appreciate the variety of options for me to eat here. I love the omelet meals because it's really 2 meals in one. I can't imagine anyone finishing it all in one sitting! The bagels are amazing and the selection of bakery items will leave you dizzy trying to decide which one you want. Nothing is bad here. Portions are generous and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is always awesome. Be sure to sign up for their rewards program and earn points for $5 off. Points add up pretty fast too!

I don't know. I am from back east and thought this would be similar to that.
I got the corned beef hash breakfast.
It was full of fat, over cooked, mixed together with slice of cheese on top. ?? Potatoes overcooked and dry. The sesame bagel was good. The waitress came over and asked if food was ok because I didn't eat it. They took it back. Then the manager came over and did try to make it right. But was a little combative. He offered to discount the meal but I just wanted to eat.
I picked a corned beef sandwich. Thought is was going to work out. They slammed down a 1/2 sandwich and a bill for 14 bucks. I paid it. Tip the waitress and planed on NEVER coming back.

Definitely a place to go for breakfast. We went at 11 on a Sunday and waited about 40 minutes but we weren’t surprised about that. Delicious food and great service. They’re menu is huge with lots of options including healthy and gluten free. If you want great food nothing fancy then you found the place.

Horrible management of service... waited for an hour and never got seated. They sat people that had been there several minutes after we got there. Managers and servers just kept saying 10min everytime we asked. Apparently they sat people at the tables they were getting ready for us. First time and last time will not recommend people here with this type of service.

This location kinda sucks. The hash browns were super burnt and I usually get the gluten free waffles and usually they're good, but the cook here made them so thick I couldn't finish them. Go to the Paradise Valley Location or Arrowhead. Or just somewhere else if you're hungry in Tempe.

If the pricing were a bit better, and the fry-oil didn't have a taste I find subtly odd, this place would get 5 stars from me! The food is great, with the bonus of being kosher (if that's your thing). I've had soup and sandwiches here, and I do have to say that I actually liked the soup best. Which says a lot about the soup because the sandwiches were pretty awesome!

Haven't dined in, yet, but can attest to polite, efficient, and rapid take-away service.

Very inconsistent quality. Generally Chompie's food is quite tasty and if you want corned beef or pastrami this is your best choice in Tempe. HOWEVER, their take-out quality is very inconsistent. We've had this experience several times where sandwiches have NO dressing whatsoever. Nothing on the sandwich and nothing on the side. Still tasty, but if the menu says the sandwich has mustard or 1000 Island dressing is it too much to ask that they actually put some on your sandwich?

Server Jessica was very nice. I wish she cooked our food. Over priced hamburger was thin overcooked and smashed. Hot dog was overcooked. This place is overrated and overpriced. Definitely NOT a New York deli. Its typical Arizona garbage.

The first thing that brought me to surprise was the crazy large menu that they have. It took me 15-20 minutes just to decide what to eat! I wound up ordering a pastrami and liver sandwich. I did think the prices were high when I was ordering, but when they brought the food out, I understood why. My sandwich was massive and was easily large enough for two, if not three meals. My sandwich was really could, I could tell that the meat was fresh, deli quality. Even better, the food kept it's quality in my fridge (which is very important considering the size). One last thing: I don't like how the restaurant calls itself a Jewish, kosher deli when at least half the menu mixes meat and dairy together (even the Jewish rolls had meat and dairy together). It's fine if you mix meat and dairy, but if you do so, you should lose the privilege of calling yourself a kosher establishment

Everything I've eaten here has been delicious. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The price is on par with a chili's or a Fridays, but the food is superior to both.

Best. Bagels. Ever. Still making great bagels every day. Only surpassed by the amazing cream cheese selection. Best cream cheese anywhere hands down. Been going here for the last 15 years and haven't had a bad bagel yet.
